broncoty 0 #1 November 13, 2008 Hi, I will keep it pithy. I am 17 years old and a High School student. I have been assigned a project in which I need to contact a professional in a field that I have interest in. Currently I would love to teach when I grow up, so I decided to contact a teacher. But I wanted to contact someone that teaches a subject that most people would not think of. I think Skydiving Instructors are in a unique position when it comes to teaching the skills of skydiving because of the inherent risk and responsibility. Especially when it comes to whether a student can perform the necessary skills to continue in the sport. So if you are a Skydiving Instructor and would be willing to let me interview you over the phone, please PM me. Thanks for reading Tyler“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. skyh2omedic 0 #7 November 14, 2008 Contact Rob or Kim or Chromy or Yuki at Skydive University. http://www.skydiveu.com/ They teach it all. You might consider visiting a dropzone if there is one nearby and meeting with an instructor face to face. Where are you located?"You can't teach what you don't know and you can't lead where you won't go"
IanHarrop 37 #8 November 14, 2008 I found a Broomfield in CO If that is where you are from, why not talk to people at a DZ in your area http://www.dropzone.com/dropzone/North_America/United_States/Colorado/index.html"Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

Right now there is a bit of a time constraint for the interview to be done. But I have another project due in May that is a much more intensive project and I am thinking about talking to Skydive the Rockies about allowing me to sit in on a FJC. Do DZ's allow people to do that? And I also would like to thank AllisonH and JustChuteMeNow for offering their time for an interview.“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. IanHarrop 37 #10 November 14, 2008 Best thing you can do is talk to them. Every DZ is run by someone different and what they will do to help will vary."Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
