What country is the biggest threat to mankind?

Recommended Posts

The country that produces the Antichrist. Most theological scholars are focusing on a Mideast Muslim country. The most frequently discussed conjectured country is Turkey. The threat will start will 3.5 years of peace.

Although I read the main headlines of Al Jazeera once a week. Just to get a feel for the "Arab Street" so to speak. Its notoriously anti Israel, anti US and anti west. The reporters tend to take small stories and S t r e t c h the facts.

"But China itself is under threat. The US "pivot to Asia", announced under former US President Barack Obama, encompasses the biggest military buildup since the Second World War.

"American bases form a giant noose encircling China with missiles, bombers, warships - all the way from Australia through the Pacific to Asia and beyond," Pilger says. "

Is nothing but BS.

More apt on this topic is:

China today unveiled a powerful island-building machine to help reclaim more land in the disputed South China Sea.

The enormous ship, called Tiankun, can dredge 6,000 cubic meters (211,000 cubic feet) of mud every hour - roughly the size of 2.5 Olympic Swimming Pools.

The Spratly Islands are around 500 miles from the coast of China, and Fiery Cross Reef about 740 miles from mainland China. It is approximately 170 miles off the coast of Vietnam. Why did China build these islands and how did they manage to make land out of sea?

The environmental impact of dredging activity is huge—a tribunal at the Hague, by the Permanent Court of Arbitration, slammed China in July 2016 for causing what it described as “ irreparable harm to the marine environment.” The tribunal also criticized China for destroying coral reefs, which it had a duty to protect—international law says that anyone building an island must undertake a thorough environmental assessment beforehand.

The Hague also rejected China’s historic claims to the South China Sea, which Beijing had described as being part of “historic fishing territory.” The tribunal said that the Spratly Islands were not legally islands, but rather rocks, over which no country had jurisdiction.

The most immediate China danger is the question of what they will do if the Trump Regime decides it wants a war to distract the populace from it's complete lack of effectiveness. There is already talk of a "premptive attack" on NK and the use of atomic weapons has not been ruled out. China's policy is believed to be that it will not stand with NK if it starts a war by launching an attack. But that it will side with NK if it is attacked first.

This scenario could go sideways very quickly. Russia, China, and other players would have to make very quick decisions on how to respond. And the US would need to weigh it's response to that response.

Although this is not all that likely to happen as far as we can tell at the moment it is possible. And the consequences could be a world completely different from the one we enjoy today.

The greatest threat to mankind is the CIA. Accountable to no one, with a long history of selling drugs to fund itself, it has, from it's inception, lied to every President since Eisenhower in order to use the military might of the United States and its allies to promote its policies. These policies have nothing to do with America or its citizens and everything to do with a small group of un-elected officials who desire to rule the world and, to a very large extent, do.

There is a grain of truth in what you say. But the CIA director serves at the pleasure of the President. And is replaced fairly regularly. I know the director does not control every little thing that goes on there. But you can't build an empire without an emperor.

The people who run the CIA are neither elected nor appointed. Most are probably not even on the government payroll. The CIA is an organization whose primary function is to lie in order to obtain information. Why, if it suited them, would they ever stop? Only one President has ever publicly rebuked the CIA--and he was shot in the head by someone.

And how do you find BBC, CNN, FOX News, New York times compare to Al Jazeera? I find them way more balanced than Fox by the way! It is to easy to discredit news these days opening your reply with biased news factory! To be an middle east reprensentive, they are an important voice to consider balancing the world news and view!

I'm a little confused by the question but Al Jazeera does offer an opinion from the area. IMO they don't represent a Muslim view as much as a Arab view from a anti Saudi, US and Israeli view. For which the Saudi's are trying to muscle them into silence.

They have never tackled the hypocrisy of Islamic silence of the Rohingya Muslims persecution. Abuses by other Islamic leaders. They almost never comment on Pakistani politics.

Its as if they recognize their target market is anti-US and anti Israel viewers.

Well okay then. If you are going to go down that dark alley I'm certainly not going to chase you.

This is a strange statement to make considering the subject matter of the thread.

I can explain that. A world wide stock of thousands of fusion weapons exists. Conspiracy theories are only theories.

Ummm...

No. The idea of the CIA being that "all powerful, evil empire" is NOT a "theory."

It's a half baked, paranoid delusion.

Theories require evidence. They require facts.

This sort of misuse of the word "theory" is why things like evolution have difficulty being accepted. It's "just a theory" does nothing more that demonstrate the ignorance of the person making the statement.

The CIA has done some pretty evil shit in the past.
But the claims posted above are a long, long way from reality.

Rant over.

Lawmakers briefed by Yale psychiatrist on Trump's mental health: report

More than a dozen lawmakers last month met with a Yale University psychiatry professor for two days to discuss President Trump’s fitness for office, Politico reported Wednesday.

Dr. Bandy X. Lee reportedly met with the group of lawmakers on Dec. 5 and Dec. 6 and warned them the president is “going to unravel.” All of the lawmakers in attendance were Democrats, except for one Republican senator.

“We feel that the rush of tweeting is an indication of his falling apart under stress. Trump is going to get worse and will become uncontainable with the pressures of the presidency,” Lee told Politico.

***And now we know what country has the biggest most powerful button.

Yeah but it doesn't mean we're going to hit it first.

It won't really matter who was first if the buttons are pushed.......

Pakistan, perhaps the least stable of any nuclear armed country.

N. Korea?? Pakistan fought the 1999, Kargil War with India while it had nuclear weapons. They don't have ICBM's that can threaten more than about 1700 nm.

Their leaders don't brag about "bigger buttons" to threaten adversaries.

Having said that I get your point. They have by far the most terrorism, political violence, of any nuclear power.

Pakistan is probably the most likely source of a bomb falling into the hands of a non-state actor.

The biggest threat to mankind isn't one country. It is all of us and how we think.

It is that our brains evolved from primates and we seek safety (emotional and identity) in tribal groups.

Within the safety of these tribal identities (whether it is racial, religious, or political affiliation) we create simplified world views, and only pay attention to facts that confirm our biases.

Also within these tribal identities, we lose empathy for people we perceive to be in different groups. (And you can see that on this message board very clearly).

I think this video states the problem nicely.
