Spycatching if you will. They routinely keep tabs on suspected foreign intelligence agents, and those in close contact with them. So for the FBI to have surveillance (including electronic) on the Russians and those in their employ, that is business as usual. Trump chose to cozy up with them. So he falls into the net.
