Phil1111 913 #1 March 16, 2017 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/03/16/analysis-key-points-donald-trumps-first-budget-announcement/ The new chairman of the Democratic National Committee said President Trump will harm ordinary Americans if he succeeds in making the major cuts to federal agencies expected in his first budget. Trump will reportedly demand significant cuts at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and State Department to fund a boost in military spending. “Donald Trump’s budget will no doubt be terrific for people who can afford to spend their weekends at luxury resorts like Mar-a-Lago, and it would be a disaster for hardworking Americans struggling to get ahead,” Tom Perez said in a statement Monday, jabbing at Trump’s private resort in Palm Beach, Fla. normiss 622 #7 March 17, 2017 Immediately after the election Trump transition spokesman Jason Miller explained that Melania would be staying in New York because there was "obviously a sensitivity to pulling out a 10-year-old in the middle of the school year". We have since learned that the cost of security for Melania and Barron to remain at Trump Tower is $183 million/year. There is also no indication that they will actually move to DC this summer. So in essence the Federal government is giving the Trump family a $183 million annual voucher so Barron can attend the elite private prep school of his choice. Meanwhile, we learned last night that Trump'sl budget would completely eliminate funding for the National Endowment for the Arts. The NEA, with an annual budget of only $148 million, is able to provide seed money for arts programming in literally every Congressional district in the country. So, on the one hand you have a $183 million school voucher for a single 10-year-old at an elite private school. On the other hand you have a program that impacts arts and cultural programming throughout the entire nation.

This all of course fully supported by the same people who complained about Obama playing golf.

SkyDekker 1,130 #13 March 17, 2017 If Trump keeps vacationing at his current rate, it is going to cast US taxpayers just shy of $500 Million for his 4 year term. Obama's travel costs averaged out over 1 term was $48 million.
