I don't think it rates very high on the scale of "dumb things people have done". He lived and it wasn't that likely that he would die from it. It's been done many times before with out serious injury or death. So it isn't a totally unknown outcome.

Would have sucked if when he threw the gun down and it went off with the bullet going up threw is groin into his heart.

I knew a guy that was having trouble with the key to open his motel room and threw his bag down. Well, the 9mm in the bag fired with the bullet going up his butt and partially paralyzing him.

I would have to imagine that, even though this guy i sout of his fucking mind, he only loaded one bullet.

I would also imagine the reason why HE shot HIMSELF and didnt have the camera person do it was so , just in case the vest failed, he could protect the shooter.

I still have to imagine that there were reports of gun shots. I wanna see the video where the police showup.
