I know, right? It's bizarre that a party that was named after an act of vandalism would have anything to do with vandalism. It would be like finding out that the New York Al Qaeda Cell had connections to Al Qaeda.

There are plenty of outliers on either side, Mike. There are those Tea Party activists who stoop to violence and vandalism to show their anger, just like there are Occupiers who do the same thing.

Aaand, as others have said here, Communism and Socialism remove any incentive to produce, as the State takes any benefit for working harder than your neighbor. It's insulting to pay a Doctor the same as a Fry Cook.

What is the incentive to bust one's hump to become a Doctor if you're not going to earn more than some schmuck with the intelligence of a gerbil who has done nothing to better himself?

The incentive is that every person is able to fill the position in life which best suits them.

If you have the calling of a healer then your education in that vocation is provided by the people.

If your capabilities are best suited to dropping fries ,well then that is what you'll be doing.

In either case you will have everything you need and this false sense of shortage to up prices will be eliminated.

I know that last statement is hard for you to swallow but the fact is that there is plenty for everyone.
Capitalism is dependant on shortages.

Yes, they were doing that with certain types of CDOs and related products. Were the people buying them aware of that? Some were. In simple terms, those products were types of insurance. Sleazy, yes, criminal, I don't think so.
