Man charged with sexual abuse of teen in Wal-Mart August 17, 2007 FROM STNG WIRE REPORTS A Des Plaines man is being held on $90,000 bond Friday for allegedly trying to videotape underneath the skirt of a teenager at a northwest suburban Wal-Mart store. Gustavo Vazquez, 33, of the 400 block of Fifth Court in Des Plaines is charged with one count of criminal sexual abuse and one count of unauthorized videotaping, both felonies, according to a report from Rolling Meadows police. In court Friday in Rolling Meadows, his bond was set at $90,000, according to police. According to the report, a woman called police about 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, after seeing a man bump into her daughter inside the Wal-Mart at 1460 Golf Rd. and place his cell phone/camera under the girl’s skirt. Court documents allege Vazquez followed the teen and her mother around the store, and when they got to the school aisle, approached and rubbed up against the girl in a sexual manner while placing the camera under her skirt, Cook County State’s Attorney’s office spokeswoman Tandra Simonton said. The mother confronted the man and chased him out of the store, where he fled in a vehicle.
