Why do you think that their actions are purely political and that they are just trying to score political points? Is it it possible that they are representative of a group of constituents who have been completely shut out of the decision making process for six years and that they are now trying to do their jobs? The reality is that the Bush administration's policies have been a long string of failures, too long to list right now. Why is it "just scoring political points" when they take advantage of their power to try to change the direction of a failed train of decisions that insists on not only moving forward, but increasing its speed? The Bushies and their Republican enablers have already done the damage of making themselves look bad. The Democrats can't take any credit for that.
