    Mid-America Sport Parachute Club

A dropzone that has plenty of wide open area's to land at. Staff are knowledgeable about training, equipment, they keep safety always at the top. They have very good equipment to use if your doing a tandem or learning to skydive on your own. This is a DZ that takes the time with you to teach you, and help you experience the best of Skydiving and help you progress to getting licensed as a skydiver if you choose to go that route. Everyone there is friendly and fun and if you like RW, you got it here!. The Dropzone has two 206 Cessna's, yes two 206's to fly and keep jumpers jumping,, oh and if you like accuracy, they have a pea pit for accuracy buffs. They have TV and video equipment for you, if you want to watch video of a skydive you did with friends or for students and tandems if they got video. Its a relaxed DZ with awesome people and a great place to jump and have fun. Airport is located close to the town of Taylorville, alot of places to eat and relax within just 5 minutes.

    Skydiving in the winter?

Here in Illinois its year round jumping too.. also the visual's are awesome in the winter time. and if the wind is not bad, its like flying in clean air, smooth, non-turbulent, an absolute blast!! winter jumps ftw.
  12. Im not a pilot as the petition say, but I support the petition,, am i allowed to sign that petition
  13. belly flying boring? NAH!! its awesome pulling off 4-ways and 8-ways, and you name it ways!!! haha, im just starting to learn sit flying and while i think its a cool position to fly in, I really do like RW, it just seems more challenging to me, nothing like a big way with friends at sunset to finish off a good day of jumping,. whatever you choose, have fun at it!! EDIT TO ADD: get good on your belly first, be able to do all movements with ease, should be second nature, then go FF, someone else may say otherwise, but from what i've seen with most ppl at the DZ, it turns out better for most jumpers getting their belly flying down good then moving on to other body positions.

    Flaring/ Bruises/ sore arms

Yep, I agree with the other posters.. exercise.. by doing those jumps you have just found out,, just how bad your outta shape..not knocking you personally, but skydiving does take some strength, if you want to get into different areas of skydivng, like freeflying, you are going to need that strength. its not hard, but you need build yourself up abit.. I have no doubt you'll do fine,, after a few jumps and some soreness and lots of bath soaks
  15. Congrats on your progression to level 5 just keep jumpin and have fun when you get your A.. then the fun really starts!!!
