Any country's flag flown outside of a business without the American flag in a superior position, is making a statement, which is what they intend to do, if you ask me. You enter a Mexican resturant, all of the employees are dark skinned and can barely speak English, and there's a single Mexican flag flying, without an American flag beside it or above it, is a slap in the face to the country, its freedoms, and its strong economy , for which they came here in the first place. If they were so proud of the country from which they came, why did they leave in the first place? It should have been able to supply their every need. If I moved from Fl. to Texas[and I love Tx.] I wouldn't fit in too well, if every time I turned around, I was singing the praises of Fl. After awhile people would tell me to shut the hell up, or go back where I came from. I'm sure your country has the same type of flag etiquette as we do. If, on the other hand, flags are just pretty bits of cloth, then fly what you like but don't get upset if someone burns a flag of flies a different flag above yours.... As a matter of etiquette, one should fly flags a certain way. So if the town simply passed a resolution SUPPORTING the proper use of flag etiquette, that would be fine. But the moment they passed a law which made adhering to proper flag etiquette MANDATORY, subject to penalties for violating it, that law violated the Constitution. So not true. Like I said in another post. I wear wear mine because I'm rebellious. I spent a good part of my life in the deep south. I have quite a few good black friends. I can walk into the hood (Orlando,Fl.) w/ my rebel ballcap on) w/ pleeny backup from my black bros. It's how you treat people om the street babe. Edit to add: I wouldn't wear it in a neighborhood where I wasn't known. .
