Gawain 0 #1 July 14, 2003 Continuing to add variety to the weekly numbers game. In early February, I posted a bit about jump numbers for the month, and whether I was keeping pace with my goal for the year. (Link here) Then I provided a quarterly update here. Now it's time for the first half 2003 report. My goal is 240 jumps this year, 20 per month. January, 20 jumps. 100%, 100% YTD goal. February, 15 jumps. 75%, 87.5% YTD goal. March, 15 jumps. 75%, 83.3% YTD goal. April, 12 jumps. 60%, 77.5% YTD goal. May, 19 jumps. 95%, 81% YTD goal. June, 5 jumps. 25%, 71.7% YTD goal. As you can see, there was strong activity in the first quarter, which was thwarted by several outside influences in the second quarter. This will continue to have an affect going forward. For the half, I'm at 71.7% of my YTD goal. My forecast for the third quarter will continue to fall short in July and into the first part of August, which I believe will bring me to about 66.3% of my YTD goal. The reasons for this downward (no pun intended) activity was due to job concerns. Those issues have been addressed and put into motion beginning of this business week, July 14th (Bastille Day...ironically enough). However, I believe that September through the end of the year will be extremely high activity months for my jumping with consistent over quota achievement bringing me over 100% of my goal for the year. We shall see! If you're curious about how I'm calculating this (italics are forecasts): Monthly Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Quota 20 20 20 20 20 20 Jumps 20 15 15 12 19 5 YTD Jumps 20 35 50 62 81 86 Mo./% 100.0 75.0 75.0 60.0 95.0 25.0 YTD/% 100.0 87.5 83.3 77.5 81.0 71.7 Monthly Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec Quota 20 20 20 20 20 20 Jumps 5 15 35 35 40 30 YTD Jumps 91 106 141 176 216 246 Mo./% 25.0 75.0 175.0 175.0 200.0 150.0 YTD/% 65.0 66.3 78.3 88.0 98.2 102.5 Knowing that pure numbers can be difficult to grasp, I also put together a chart for your reference below... harryskydives 0 #7 July 14, 2003 SO i go to down load my jumps from my jump track. And there is nothing past 3-15-03. Oh shit why did this thing break? it still gives me tones. So i figure it quite logging because i don't listen to the tones and so the computer figured i dont look at jumps either. Well i mentioned this at the DZ, while we are waiting for clouds to part. And Chris says "maybe you turned off your log book". About 5 of us replied in unison, "Why would you want to turn off your log book???". Any way that is what happened. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
