Hey, I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out what the name of the stone in the left (silver) ring is.

If anyone has any idea, I'd greatly appreciate the input :)

Almost all of the red stones you get in Southwest Indian jewelry are RED CORAL....but I can't tell from the photo, looks like there's some yellow color running through it....

In that case, if you can see the back side of the stone you can drop some weak hyrdrochloric acid on it and it should fizz. Alternatively, a pocket knife should scratch it, if it's jasper, the pocket knife won't scratch it Jump

Looks like a Karneol to me. Don't know if the word is the same in English, I couldn't find it in my dictionaries.

Thanks guys, it looks to be that Red River Jasper from South Africa... The second set of tables.. Kind of strange, but it's pretty interesting :) Thanks for your help, it's greatly appreciated.
