Alti-2 Analog - sticky going up and down

Recommended Posts

After about 30 jumps with the analog it seems to be pacing about 1,000 ft behind other analogs and digitals on the ride up and I need to tap it several times to read correctly. I bought it brand new.

Today I jumped and while the analog said 5,000 my L&B Solo chirped at 4,000 so I waved off and opened.

Should I expect this trend to continue or what? Anything I can do or should I just get a digital wrist-mount? Perhaps this is normal??

Thanks,

Jeff

Small or minor differences of readings between altimeters is normal.

A 1000' is not minor.

Contact Alti-2. In my experience, they will do what it takes to make it right.

All of our rental Galaxy's (8 or so of them ) are consistently 500 feet behind digital ones on the way up and 500 feet behind on the way down. We've had them come back from the factory after repair and the behavior is identical.

The Galaxy's all seem to match each other, though curiously enough my old Alti-2 seems to match the digital ones better than the Galaxys.

I don't know why but its pretty consistent with that type of altimeter.
