RoadRash 0 #1 July 22, 2004 Ok, so I rush to work, come to find out that the zoo is closed today thanks to the amount of storm damage from the 70-80MPH winds that whipped through our fair town...(I even dodged the twenty foot long branches of trees and debris to get to work on time...) So, I have the day off...BUT...and this is the part that sucks...withe the money I made today, I was gonna be able to buy a brand spankin' new Speedo for water training this weekend and WFFC... ~R+R...WTF am I gonna do all day, this is the only day of the week I work a 9 hour shift...?!?? We had to put on an empty container, jump in the deep end, and then a bigass canopy was thrown on top of us. We had to take off the harness, and swim out from under the canopy and up to the surface. If we didn't swim out far enough and ended up underneath the canopy, we were supposed to punch up and create an air pocket. I never really did figure out how that technique was supposed to work... The best part was driving to DeKalb in the early morning when our brains weren't working so well... I was in a car with Erica and Nathaniel, and Erica was talking about how she normally doesn't like Polish sausage, but PP gave her some the other night and she LOVED it!
