does vicodin ever go bad???

i just had a couple wisdom teeth yanked out and the dude wrote me a prescription for advil. WTF? i didnt notice until i got home. i have some old vicodin from an old hand surgery but it says discard after 2/98. i think im gonna eat them anyway. maybe whiskey is a better idea.

I don't know about sitting in the bottle...my vicodin usually loses its potency a few hours after I eat it.
