Let's hear how your proposal justifies that... Actually no, it's not a federally funded project. It was an International Development Education Award which was an internal competitive funding project w/in my university. Actually, it would seem to be partially funded by our tax dollars, and partially by private donations. See Here It's great that you want to teach bugs to children in other countries. I just question whether this is how the taxpayers want their money spent. I would rather see my tax dollars go to education, than funding evacues with 2000 dollar debit cards or a war over oil. chutem 0 #31 October 21, 2005 Not a very popular point of view evidently, but I think I'm with you on this one John. At least the poster is actually going to do what they proposed, not just spend the cash on jump tickets and write some BS about what they did. Thanatos340 1 #38 October 24, 2005 Monte Verde is cool. I spent most of my spare time in Costa Rica Soaking in the Hot springs up around Arenal. Tabicon is the nicer one but waaay to touristy for me, Baldi was much better in my opinion. Nothing like sitting in the Scalding Hot Mineral Water with a swim up Bar surrounded by Beautiful Ticas while drinking an Imperial and watching Arenal erupt. Ohh.. How I miss Costa Rica!! Also try to get over to Jaco if you get a chance, some cool people around there. The Zip lines at Valle Escondido are also definitely worth checking out. If you happen to get stuck in San Jose, Let me know and I can hook you up with hotel. I used to work for a group of Hotel Casinos there. Also I would advise against renting a car there. The roads are horrible, there are no road signs and it is almost as cheap to just hire a driver and not worry about it. Let me know if you need any other info before you go.
