jee 0 #1 January 7, 2008 I belong to 2 Aerodyne Icon containers that are affected by the recent service bulletin. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3060605;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread Just to let everybody know they are covering all shipping costs and reserve repacking. If anybody is considering a new rig consider the Icon. You can be sure that Aerodyne will stand behind their product. Edit: My bad...They are covering the repack on a fresh repack. 1 rig is due for a repack so I'm paying for that. Very fair and I wouldn't ask for anymore. Must be something with my server. Gary, It could be due to the software we mail from, your server might see it as spam. I'll fwd you the PDF for your records. jee 0 #7 January 7, 2008 QuoteYou sent your rigs to Aerodyne to get a couple grommets replaced? Mark It's not just a few. It's all of them. Plus they don't want anybody else doing the work. And quite frankly neither do I. I would think it's important for them to know exactly what's going on with rigs they put out only a few months ago. Affected systems are all ICON harness/container systems, part number P120, manufactured after and including 01 September 2007. Aerodyne is recommending all grommets on all ICON container systems indentified above be inspected. I read that as inspect and assess. Perhaps some clarity is in order? kaerodyne 0 #10 January 9, 2008 The service bulletin was released after we had found grommets on some Icon Harness Container Systems had been pressed to hard, thus causing the grommet to split (see image attached) this is for an inspection and possible replacement of damaged grommets that are effected. If you have any questions on this or any other Aerodyne related matter please feel free to contact Customer Service or myself and we'll gladly assist.
