Pia 0 #2 September 14, 2006 QuoteJust wondering. 38 people here at work are going, I'm organising it, but didn't crack an invite Its gonna be a blast. There are about 10 large beer tents and some smaller ones, and all look a bit different, the smaller ones take about 500 seats and the larger ones from about 4.000 to 8.000 seats ENJOY if you're going! You wont want to drink after that for a long long long time **Those who refuse to live and learn simply exist**
Merkur 1 #3 September 14, 2006 Hi Pia, what's or better where's "here at work"? Because if you're already in Munich, getting into the tents isn't the problem. I gues none of these 38 is a DZ.commer? I "have" to attend at least two times due to "business meetings" M.vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream!

Taupo 0 #5 September 14, 2006 I am, with base283. Friends have invited us to join their table on the middle Sunday, but of course we have the luxury of going 'on spec' anytime during the fest!

misaltas 0 #8 September 21, 2006 Yeah, can't wait! Going next Wed/Thu. 27-28 Sep. Anyone who's been there before have any advice for this first-timer? Thanks in advance. .Ohne Liebe sind wir nichts
Merkur 1 #9 September 21, 2006 Hey, just enjoy and don't mess with the door-people at the tents. If you go before 0600 pm you should be able to get into any of the tents (if it's not raining). Just don't leave it after 0800 as you might not be able to get in again. M.vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream!

brianfry713 0 #11 September 21, 2006 I went a few years ago. All I can recommend is to not go on too many rides after lots of beer and schnaps. Have fun.
Merkur 1 #12 September 22, 2006 Short updat: Survived second night in a row. Still some to go! How I love (hate?) being in sales. M.vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream!
freeflir29 0 #13 September 22, 2006 Make sure you get some rotisserie chicken. That's the best I have ever had. Stay away from those nasty looking "fish" sandwiches. Oh and if you want to steal a couple beer steins.........make sure you put them UNDER a jacket. The Polizei don't think it's funny.
Taupo 0 #14 October 2, 2006 Here's a few photos of two Euro-based BASE jumpers at Oktoberfest on 29 Sep 06. After only 6 hours of drinking we left the tent and immediately lost each other!
Mikki_ZH 0 #15 October 2, 2006 Wow, that looks scary!!! The guy on DSC04782 looks really, really drunk...The bad part is that this picture was taken around 4:00pm... But it was fun anyways!Michi (#1068) hsbc/gba/sba www.swissbaseassociation.ch www.michibase.ch
