Blink 0 #28 October 4, 2006 QuoteThis is going to sound counter-intuitive, but when you get to calculus, try NOT using a calculator. I took Calculus my senior year of high school, in 1988. I decided to take it again in 1995 before I started business school (it was a prerequisite so I wanted a refresher, though I didn't find myself using it much). By that time, graphing calculators were very much the norm and we were encouraged to use them. I absolutely love math! Any math, from algebra, to geometry, to trigonometry to calculus (I've only had basic). I did Calc in high school (just last year), and although I had a graph. calc, I learned to do it all by hand, and good thing too, teach took the calc away for the tests (fair advantage for everyone). And now this year, I got exempted from my College math class because of a "Previous Knowledge" math test I wrote at the start of the year :). Not bragging, I just love math! (I know, GEEK)

Muenkel 0 #30 October 4, 2006 Clay, you have always inspired me to enter threads in which I do not belong. In the spirit of that inspiration; I have never gotten less than an A in math....never. I'm just trying to figure out why the hell ONE math course takes 16 weeks to complete!?!?!?!?!?
StreetScooby 5 #33 October 5, 2006 Quote But after a six pack, I might not be able to figure that out though. That's why God gave us feet. It gives us another 10 things to count, assuming we can take our shoes off when we reach that point We are all engines of karma
