This is going to sound counter-intuitive, but when you get to calculus, try NOT using a calculator.

I took Calculus my senior year of high school, in 1988. I decided to take it again in 1995 before I started business school (it was a prerequisite so I wanted a refresher, though I didn't find myself using it much). By that time, graphing calculators were very much the norm and we were encouraged to use them.

I absolutely love math! Any math, from algebra, to geometry, to trigonometry to calculus (I've only had basic).

I did Calc in high school (just last year), and although I had a graph. calc, I learned to do it all by hand, and good thing too, teach took the calc away for the tests (fair advantage for everyone).

And now this year, I got exempted from my College math class because of a "Previous Knowledge" math test I wrote at the start of the year :).

Not bragging, I just love math! (I know, GEEK)
