Well, let's see...today is Wednesday. Must be class day and they, yet again, blew another exam, right? It's enough to drive a good man to drink.

Condolences and sympathy.
My reality and yours are quite different.

I'll give him this, he does a damn fine job of drunk posting. I've tried, but I spend twenty minutes writing a sentence, and forty five minutes correcting all the mistakes. And I'm talking sentences like "How are you?" :D

Can't wait to chat about the remorse tomorrow. :P:D

I love that he's not even sober enough to swear right.

HEY! i finis my NSF proposal todday. lay offf.

:)

Dude that's awesome... B|

I spent my day preparing a presentation about Optical Parametric Oscillation of Orientation-Patterned Gallium Arsenide...

though I'm still a little foggy on the physics of it all... I'm convinced that this application of Conservation of energy and momentum is just a bunch of hand waving and magic wanding...

its just a bunch of photons interacting with matter... :S:D

when you make your gallium-arsenide laser - most likely by vapor deposition, i can tell you with my microprobe if you got the composition and distribution of elements right = i'm sobbering now :)

actually the fabrication process employs a combination of molecular beam epitaxy and Hydride Vapor phas epitaxy...

and technically we aren't making a gallium arsenide laser... we are merely using the periodic domains in the GaAs to convert photons of a lower frequency to a pair of higher frequency photons... that happen to conserve energy and momentum.

its all very confusing... but oddly it does in fact work... :D

I have the spectral data to prove it... :D
