Squeak 17 #1 September 11, 2007 I'm trying to get one of the PCs to link to my wirless network, it can see the network but says there's no signal, the modem is only 30 feet away through firbre walls. Any ideas how to trouble shoot this? You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing? mnealtx 0 #2 September 11, 2007 Is there any way to set it up in the same room, to see if the walls are actually blocking the signal?Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706

Also possible: If you have MAC filtering on, or have an improper WEP key then you may connect with signal but have nothing. On the affected computer, once you have a connection, try to go to the router screen, usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 in your internet browser. Let's see how ya do mouse man. I'm in VA Urology for two weeks, and this is the only website I can get to under this Naziesque NOC policy. Bascially I'm bored for the day.
flipster 0 #11 September 11, 2007 You might also want to check your DNS settings. Open your browser and type in one of google.com's IP address: " 64.233.187.99 " into the address bar and see if you can connect. If you see google's page then you need to fix your DNS settings in your router.

bob.dino 0 #15 September 11, 2007 - Has your machine got an IP address (run ipconfig from a command prompt)? - Can you ping the IP address of the router?
