bigway 4 #1 November 18, 2007 So this writers strike has just shut down, battlestar as well as bionic woman. They have now closed. Also gone dark is the 4400 and Kyle xy. Smallville should make it through. I just hope Lost makes it through. Each show employees around 200 people so that is a lot of lost jobs., Amazing how it is the canadian tv shows that are getting hit so hard. .Karnage Krew Gear Store . cocheese 0 #2 November 18, 2007 My prediction about casualties on tv: Mythbusters guys are going to kill someone. Probably a cameraman. Dirty Jobs guy is going to need some blood. Price is Right guy is going to get hurt by a big excited woman who won a car.
SkydiveStMarys 0 #3 November 18, 2007 You watch alot of tv, huh??I haven't even noticed the strike..... Bobbi A miracle is not defined by an event. A miracle is defined by gratitude.
bigway 4 #4 November 18, 2007 Well, i watch more computer than tv. I sit up all night in Aucstralia running my gear store in the UK... I like to have a show running on my computer that i downloaded while working in between orders. Not much else to do between the hours of 11pm and 5 am. How exactly would you notice the strike? It will be very noticable next year maybe but not really possible next to notice it at the moment, unless of course the production of a show on tonight is just being written as we speak. .Karnage Krew Gear Store . bigway 4 #5 November 18, 2007 I would think the strike would be a big deal in America. At the moment the way it stands is that no shows are being made for next year due to the writers of the shows being on strike. This will be a mega loss in the american economy considering it is such a massive export. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
1969912 0 #6 November 18, 2007 I don't have a TV. What do they show instead? Reruns? "Once we got to the point where twenty/something's needed a place on the corner that changed the oil in their cars we were doomed . . ." -NickDG
bigway 4 #7 November 18, 2007 dunno mate, it will not affect shows until January. For example, LOST may not survive, 24 is being delayed. Lost is one of the biggest shows in the world ever. The money that show generates is massive. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

That's going to be a 'casualty' in the making as well. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Muenkel 0 #10 November 19, 2007 Bigway, I heard negotiations are going to resume next week. Hopefully they'll get it settled. The writer's are really not asking for a lot. _________________________________________ Chris
1969912 0 #11 November 19, 2007 They should just outsource everything to India. Anuradha Menon aka Lola Kutty is funnier anyway. bigway 4 #12 November 19, 2007 I hope so. I do really want to know what the fuck is going on with Lost and there is only something like 30 episodes left.... thought they have only written 8 of them before the strike. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
Muenkel 0 #13 November 19, 2007 That's the worst part of it. You invest your time, get caught up in the plot and bam, you don't know what comes next. _________________________________________ Chris
popsjumper 2 #14 November 19, 2007 Stay tuned for the next exciting adventure (2009). Writers...baah. Well, at least up to the point where it starts affecting History Channels, Discovery Channels, Learning Channels and Sports Channels. My reality and yours are quite different. There are thousands of great shows from the past that I wouldn't mind watching reruns of, that is, when I'm not postwhoring on here.
