Smokers vs Non-Smokers

Recommended Posts

some companies have a no smoking policy that says you can't smoke on company property or in your own car on company property, and if you smoke off site and the smell in your clothes is disruptive that is grounds for termination

i am a contractor at a few of these sites and must abide by that policy

is it possible that the guy just doesn't know he stinks?

related issue: what do you do when you are on a plane and the two people from India sitting next to you smell so bad from body odor that it is actually making you want to puke?
Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.

If a person smokes, as long as he doesn't smoke where other people must breathe his smoke, then it's his business. People who smell like smoke stink. But they don't stink any more than a bunch of other people. Don't think it's okay to single 'em out because they smell of smoke. Hard to make an "offensive odors" policy. LOL.

there are a whole lot of businesses that disagree and in fact have written employment policies that prohibit the smoke stink, you can be sure that their lawyers took a good look before those policies were implemented, the policy says something like - if you smell of smoke you can be asked to leave to change clothes, continued infractions can result in termination

So I should mention to all the hispanics that the lunch room smells really bad every day due to thier heating up mexican food,

I suppose if it was good old American meat loaf that would be different.

Should they mention to you that they find the smell of Oscar mayer bologna and American "cheese" on Wonder Bread disgusting?

Oh no, wait; that's different, too. Never mind.

All the hospitals in my area have that policy and i like it. i sure the fuck wouldn't want a nurse or doctor touching me if they reeked of smoke.
