If that doesn't work, then just try looking at the mfgr website for any service info at all, on the product line. rlucus 0 #9 May 20, 2009 Yes they can fixed... if you don't have electrical experience I recommend you take it to a professional. More than likely it is a simple LCD plugged into the control board by a ribbon cable... if this is the case then anyone with basic micro electronics skills could replace it with the right part. I can't tell you how many times I've taken something apart to fix one thing and ended up breaking something else inside it.
