Only problem I had was when I (was forced to) update the IOS and for some reason the vmware vlan stopped working... Turned out to be some sort of issue with the IOS that caused it to screw up. Had to go and downgrade the IOS back to the older version to get it to work again. But no. I don't know how to configure a core switch.
