Baksteen 84 #5 September 23, 2015 oldwomanc6 And yes, if I'm telling an untruth, it's always lying. People are always lying to get laid."That formation-stuff in freefall is just fun and games but with an open parachute it's starting to sound like, you know, an extreme sport." ~mom
wmw999 2,122 #6 September 23, 2015 Gowlerk's link is helpful. 98% of the time, laying is transitive, and lying is intransitive. I.e. you lay something or someone. The verb always has an object. You never lie something or someone. No object. Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. kallend 1,623 #7 September 24, 2015 Baksteen ***And yes, if I'm telling an untruth, it's always lying. People are always lying to get laid. Sometimes they are kneeling to get laid. Or standing. Or even swimming or in freefall.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.

And as to the lying who's most likely to be the liar and who the lyee?"That formation-stuff in freefall is just fun and games but with an open parachute it's starting to sound like, you know, an extreme sport." ~mom
