TribalTalon 0 #1 November 4, 2003 well i just did my first tandem jump on sunday, i'm definitely hooked.. i hope to do my AFF class within the month! i jumped at Sky Dive Houston and my instructor was Mike Scott ( i think thats his last name) . it was a very cool experience, he let me take control of the chute for a while. definitely psyched to do it on my own!! how many people from here go to skydive houston? and by the way my name's Don, but most people call me darko as in donny darko. TribalTalon 0 #5 November 4, 2003 hehe its all good!!! oh yeah, btw, I'm profoundly deaf, as is my best friend who also jumped, and we're both hooked. we both have cochlear implants and i can hear and talk pretty well while aaron (my friend) relies mostly on signing. It'd be cool to find other deaf divers, especially here in texas, but cant be too picky i suppose haha.

I am a newbie from the Houston area as well. I did an AFF Level 1 at Lexington, Tx and 5(yahoo!!) jumps last weekend at Skydive Spaceland. My last jump on Sunday was on the sunset load and we jumped from 14.7K. Awesome!! Definately try and get on the sunset load. It is so beautiful!!
