  5. It doesn't take much height, just the wrong entry into the water.I had a realtive die from about the same height. He was trying to do flips and landed on his side. It broke his neck and he drowned. Imagine the fetal position that a lot of us sleep in(especiallybase704) Assume that positon when you enter the water and your head and neck might not be able to take it. Body postion is more relevant than height. Mike May we live long and die out
  6. Part of the risk of this sport, if you choose to do it illegaly,is that you may find yourself facing the police with your dead friend lying on the ground before you. If you don't have what it takes to stand there and face it like a man(or woman)then you shouldn't be doing it in the first fucking place .Jump at the Perrine or some of the other legal object but stay away from the illegal ones if you aren't prepared to face the consequences. Calling days later and not giving enough info to find the body is inexcusable. May we live long and die out

Tom was one of the nicest people I've ever known and today I got to meet his family and learned that his kindness runs in the family. I agree, Toms family was extremely kind and gracious to the the jumpers that showed up at the Funeral today. His sister especially went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. A great group of people. Thanks to all the family members. I see where Tom got his kind heart from. It showed from his aunts down to his nephews, and everyone in between. They have my deepest condolences and sympathies and my upmost respect. Sincerely Mike Bartlett May we live long and die out

    Lock Pick Kits

There are no "master keys" for single pin locks. Seldom if ever will they be found on padlocks. They are most common in apartments and hotels. THe locks have 2 sets of pins, and shear lines. One key opens one set at one shear line and the "master" at another. A couple of diamond picks and tension tools of different sizes is all that is needed for most common padlocks and deadbolts. Raking is the way to go. Electric guns and mechanical guns rake in the same manner but the are very LOUD and can damage locks. THe truly gifted are the ones that can do impressions and combination locks are the easiest of all to beat(the Master brand, that is) PS Having a set in your possession is a crime unless you are certified locksmith, etc, etc May we live long and die out

  17. Well, I'm not really comfortable with that at the moment so lets say I'm doing a jump from 540 and/or 900 (no tracking) and openning at about 200-250 feet (typical where I make my measurment and judgement for the jump). At what wind speed would you begin to find the issue of a PC getting blown over your head. Coco I would venture to say and i could be wrong, but almost everyone ever hung up on a wire , were jumping at the heights you are talking about. The middle heights of towers are the most dangerous . IN any thing other than perfect winds you are taking a huge chance of hitting a wire. You are very close to the tower on opening with plenty of wires to hit below. Not just 180's but also consider line twists. I know of one incident where the person had twists and actualy flew through the wire sets twice and was fortunate not to hit either one. 300ft to about 1000ft is a dangerous place on a tower. You really have to have the right winds. May we live long and die out
  18. You can take winds out of the game either by opening under the first wire or climbing high enough to track away from them. Short delays that leave wires underneath you is a big prob Our local tower has landing areas on all three sides, with the first wire attached around 180ft. We jump from around 300or so and open underneath that wire. Wind direction doesn't matter. Just take a decent delay to get more vertical speed for your PC to counter the crosswind effect. As stated before, no winds are the worst situation. Wind is your friend if you know how to use it to your advantage May we live long and die out
