At a party recently someone told a guy there that I skydive and the dude tells me yeah I tried skydiving it was ok . So I proceeded to say well it gets better when you get to fly on your own, not tandem. He proceeds to tell me he didn't do. Tandem they made him watch like a 2 hour video and just let him jump. I asked if he did a static line he had no idea what I was talking about and said no I went up and just jumped out with a bunch of other people . At this point I realized this knucklehead wasn't worth wasting my breath so I just said cool and walked away. I explained to my buddies later that the dude was totally full of shit. So last night I had a dream that I went in at a strange dropzone. I woke up before I hit the ground but it was no doubt not ending well. It started out as a PC in tow, then to a bag lock. I went to my EP's and remember thinking it was funny that I got to my reserve handle before my RSL. I pulled the reserve handle completely out and nothing. I was whacking the crap out of the container with my elbows , still nothing. By that time I was getting close so I stopped fighting and made my peace with the world before I became a part of it! Woke up feeling good though today, weird I guess. Anybody else have dreams of going in? Wait , I pull what first?

i recently got my license and jump at the Ranch. I havent been to SDLI but ive heard good things about them too but i can tel you anything you want to know about the ranch. The instructors are top notch and care about the students even after you get your "A". I often go over to the student section and talk to them still. There are almost always two otters flying on the weekends so making a load is never a problem. Any questions feel free to PM me. Hope to see you at the Ranch!! Wait , I pull what first?

This is not a knock on you so dont get mad, but continuing to jump even though your not understanding the instuctions can lead to bad things. In this case you are surviving it so far but its a bad way to learn. I like the idea of maybe having an instructor draw it out on paper for you, maybe that will make it click. Even though you may think your doing well your instructors may be seeing something thats putting you at risk in the pattern. Instructors are there to answer questions and make sure you learn correctly so dont feel bad about trying to get this straitened out. Good luck and Blue Skies!! Wait , I pull what first?
