  1. Might be easier to find a geologist with a good on-camera personality then spend the money and send him/her to get their A license. In the Navy, you can't put your hands in your pockets but I was always told not to put my hands in my pockets by people with their hands in their pockets. Kinda funny huh?
  2. Nope - bagpipes winner! In the Navy, you can't put your hands in your pockets but I was always told not to put my hands in my pockets by people with their hands in their pockets. Kinda funny huh?
  3. I think the banjo would be more irritating. In the Navy, you can't put your hands in your pockets but I was always told not to put my hands in my pockets by people with their hands in their pockets. Kinda funny huh?
  4. Yeah, ive known about it for about a year as well, every once in a while i get bored at work so i spend a couple hours trying beat my high score. 5. Thx, i have an addon for my browser that automatically makes links clickable. I forget sometimes that its not automatic. In the Navy, you can't put your hands in your pockets but I was always told not to put my hands in my pockets by people with their hands in their pockets. Kinda funny huh?

  7. Hopefully one day I'll be able to do the same thing. Sadly, my daughter is 4, so i have a while to go ;-) In the Navy, you can't put your hands in your pockets but I was always told not to put my hands in my pockets by people with their hands in their pockets. Kinda funny huh?
  8. Must be hard when trying to buy a jumpsuit, or most skydiving gear for that matter In the Navy, you can't put your hands in your pockets but I was always told not to put my hands in my pockets by people with their hands in their pockets. Kinda funny huh?
  9. This thread is false advertisement. I came in expecting a nice picture to judge. Anywho, I agree with everybody else. DANGER DANGER! 10. ayem Wendy, make a new thread and blow our minds! In the Navy, you can't put your hands in your pockets but I was always told not to put my hands in my pockets by people with their hands in their pockets. Kinda funny huh?
  11. Get jumping first, it's hard to formulate a proper attitude about gear until you understand it. I nearly ordered a full blown custom rig at the start of AFF. Ended up getting a used rig @ 20 jumps and haven't looked back, happy to spend the next 200 jumps on the canopy... container/reserve/cypres2 (07 model) will last me for the next 5 years. Just because it's used, doesn't mean it isn't quality (pics attached). I guess my point is, definitely do not sacrifice any of your training just for custom gear straight up. Nice looking rig you got there
  12. I was robbed at knife point by a shirtless 12 year old carrying a knife that had a wizards head for a hilt and his beard was the blade. That was definitely strange. 13. Meh, I live 4 miles from everything I need. No real need for a car. Anywho... If what was said about AZ is true then that sounds like a great deal. 4G's for an all inclusive A license with video's, tunnel time, and re-jumps. Doubt Raeford could beat that. In the long run $4000 isnt really all that expensive compared to what you will eventually spend. Might as well get a good quality start with the AZ DZ. 14. I had sworn to myself that I was not going to read any more of your posts until you had made a jump. However, your posting above was so entertaining I had to thank you for the laugh. Let's see... == only 90 minutes to two great turbine dropzones, == only 90 minutes to a vertical wind tunnel == jumpable weather year-round. I am still struggling to understand what the problem is. I would hazard a guess that 95% of jumpers in the world lack at least one of these three things (if not ALL of them). Bitch less, jump more. I only bitch because I dont drive. since moving to LA 1 year ago ive only put 43 miles on my car. I ride my bike everywhere. Guess i gotta get over it but it still sucks
  15. Hmm, thats not a bad deal then. In the Navy, you can't put your hands in your pockets but I was always told not to put my hands in my pockets by people with their hands in their pockets. Kinda funny huh?
  16. There is no time limit. take your time, think of something challenging and post it tonight, tomorrow, or next week. No rush. 17. Wendy it is. Wendy, the next scenario is yours. In the Navy, you can't put your hands in your pockets but I was always told not to put my hands in my pockets by people with their hands in their pockets. Kinda funny huh?
  18. OOH, very nice! We might have a tie here, since your post came in before mine. In the Navy, you can't put your hands in your pockets but I was always told not to put my hands in my pockets by people with their hands in their pockets. Kinda funny huh?
  19. That would probably take forever but it could definitely work. Nice job. Now, you have been tasked to give us the next scenario. The harder the better. Remember to be detailed in your descriptions people will exploit any weakness in your scenario. 20. Great start, but I do not think you could realistically sweep the keys to yourself using that method. remember the floor smooth concrete. To win you must escape, so all explanations should be detailed and end with you leaving the room. 21. ...in the center of a sqaure room. You are completely naked. You are low enough so that your hands can reach the floor but high enough that you cant push your body upwards. You are bound and hang by your ankles with metal shackles and chain. http://www.awesomestories.com/images/user/0f875cde25.png (Notice the pad lock) The room you are in is a 10x10 concrete square. The walls and ceiling are completely smooth. There is a closed door on the wall in front of you with a flood light above it. On the floor below your head is match book with 1 match, a stick of dynamite, 12 feet of nylon rope, 3 sticks of bubble gum, and a letter. The letter reads: There are two keys taped to the door. One unlocks your shackles and one unlocks the door. You are free to leave at any time...if you can. First to plausibly escape wins and has to propose a new scenario. Winner will be named by myself. 22. off topic but they REALLY need to put a jump zone near LA. Driving an hour and a half to the DZ sucks and will continue to suck once i get my license. In the Navy, you can't put your hands in your pockets but I was always told not to put my hands in my pockets by people with their hands in their pockets. Kinda funny huh?
  23. 1 hour south of LA 1 hour north of San Diego its right across the road from Skydive Perris (More expensive) In the Navy, you can't put your hands in your pockets but I was always told not to put my hands in my pockets by people with their hands in their pockets. Kinda funny huh?
  24. sweet its 2999. not sure what i was looking at.... ...still 2999 is quite a bit more that 1800 at raeford. go get your A at Raeford dude. In the Navy, you can't put your hands in your pockets but I was always told not to put my hands in my pockets by people with their hands in their pockets. Kinda funny huh?
  25. If you pay for the entire package up front at Elsinore the cost is $2999. This includes everything, including your first year USPA fee & your A license fee. Plus you get 2 free videos that you can use whenever. (I just used my 2nd one on my 200th jump) Plus you can substitute Level 4 for a coached tunnel session for around $50 extra. I realize they offer more expensive packages but they are a waste of money if you do the math. Or just suck it up and make the drive to Lodi, you have to do a tandem first for a $100, then AFF is only $1000 (assuming no repeats) then another $700 or $800 to finish (that is a guesstimate), you have to pay for gas and somewhere to stay, or just stay in the bunkhouse or a tent. Keep in mind Lodi does not use radios under canopy but its not rocket science just a little scary. Unless they are having real issues completing the levels I dont know anyone who paid $4k to get their A. hmm, could have sworn it was 4000. BRB, gonna go check again.
