  1. Sounds like you have A great dad.
  2. Now you have found out why birds sing so much.
  3. Welcome to the sport Joe and the forums.Good luck with your training.
  4. Welcome chris...I have done the same over the past year. There is alot of info here if you have questions do not be afraid to ask.
  5. Way to go...have fun and be safe Smile, pull, land
  6. Hi Leigh welcome....Is there A drop zone near you?Talk to the owner see if there are odd jobs that you could do around there tell him or her that you would put the money toward your training good luck. Smile, pull, land
  7. Howard thanks so much for posting this I would have never found out about his passing. He is a true hero along with all those other men and women in WWII.My grandfather was killed in normandy rite after they landed on the beach he is buried there in france in a town I cannot spell but hope to visit one day.If anyone out there has not seen band of brothers go out and rent the series it will open your eyes I promise you. With the main stream media not reporting on this it just goes to show how screwed up it is. Smile, pull, land
  8. They had me take the aff ground school second part where i was hung in the harness went over emergency procedures.Took a writen test on what i had learned.Did a jump with an instructer that weekend and was signed off good to go that afternoon.I hired A coach for A dozen jumps after that just so I could go over docking, turning, tracking and A few other things.Wanted to make sure I was not a danger to anyone in the air when I started to do relative work again.Let me know how you make out with your training.I am glad to hear someone else is getting back in after a long break Smile, pull, land
  9. Chris Welcome back....I did the same thing took about 12 years off after recieving my A license.although i did not join the airforce but the same circumstances married, kids, house etc.It took me A few jumps but it comes back pretty easy.Everyone thought I had smoke on my first jump but it was the rust coming off.lol
  10. Hey tigerfan....Has the beer stoped flowing yet with the tigers capturing a national championship in baseball.Watched every game what a series.
  11. Welcome Aly,Where did you do your first jump.
  12. Still cannot acess the relative work thread. Can anyone tell me why.!!! Smile, pull, land
  13. Congrats on your tandem!A good thing for you to do is go hang out at the drop zone.Talk to some instructors ask as many questions as you like about the aff program or anything else.introduce yourself to some of the jumpers that are there tell them you are planing to do aff they will probably tell you there experiences with the program.See if you can get an instructor to show the proper way to arch then go home and get on A table and practice it every day it sounds stupid but it realy helped me when I was starting out.Well good luck to you sorry about the spelling blue skies. Smile, pull, land
  14. I am trying to get on the relative work forum but it says I am denied. Smile, pull, land
