  1. But you gotta be carefull, by age 7 they can become "monsters". Most parents need to watch their wallets and car keys, we need to lock up our rigs!
  2. Agreed, Reflex is a great rig. I never had a problem packing the reserve. Just different. Actually I do have a reflex I would sale. Held a Jedi 136 and a PD150R. Sitting empty now. PM me if you would be interested
  3. Pink Floyd - Learning to Fly "..across the ground I see my shadow fly, out of the corner of my wondering eye.." Perfect!
  4. Did. Tandem into our wedding reception. That was a ball!!
  5. Just under 1000' out of an ultralight using my Prodigy. Wife wasn't too impressed.
  6. I'm pretty sure i have one. Not sure of the vintage. I'll look when i get home tonight.
  7. Blue....Green.....Blue.....Green.....pull on Green!
  8. Been trying to call since last night when my plans changed. Unable to get ahold of anyone. I understand they are closed Tues. and Wed. so I'll keep trying. Thanks for the info.
  9. I will be getting into Tampa late Wed. night and want to drive right to Skydive City. Do they offer a bunkhouse that someone can flop for a few hours until the sun comes up.
  10. HEY, was that my Prodigy? I think someone owes me rental Anyway, fun stuff huh. Keep it up, we need people for the 2 plane formation CRW we are always trying to get going. See ya at the farm this weekend.
  11. Great info. Keep in mind it is THEIR skydive. Keep them comfortable, relaxed and happy. As already said the attention should be on them. I try to criticize first tamdem students very little. Most likely it will be their only skydive experience. Make it a good and happy one.
  12. All my Tamdem jumps have been from cessna's in basically the same manor. Both TM and student on their knees and hooked up. Move to door. I place my right leg out door and foot on step. I slide both our heads out the door. On command, student swings knees out door. Once knees clear door, I motion pilot and plane is banked quickly to the right. The door becomes a floor and we are out clean. Only variation is with tall or largeer students i have left them sitting and put both their feet out onto to step. Definitely not the only way, just the way i learned and only way I've do it.
  13. Gotta be a Caribou. God I miss those birds.
  14. Bought a used Aerial 170 for my wife in '94. Early '95 I had a hard opening on it which ripped second to end cell nose to tail, chop. Called GlidePath and had lower panel replaced. 12 jumps latter on the canopy the REPAIR ripped nose to tail, chop. Evidently there was a tear problem which latter models had span wise reinforcement at attachment points to counter. They sent a larger slider and hard openings were cured. Still have the canopy but it doesn't get jumped much. Wife not jumping after 2 kids were born but doesn't want to give it up. I still jump it a couple times a year when the hot rods aren't packed (and for god sakes it's PINK!!). Flies like a Sabre and has a good flair. I wouldn't hesitate putting my wife back under it if she wants to come back and get current.
