Okay everyone, latest update on what is going on for the Hog-Flop..... The resgistration fee is going to be $35. This includes dinner on Saturday night, a keg on Friday night (The Team Dirty Sanchez Brothers are supplying beer Saturday) and $10 per person will be going to the following person.... Whitney. 3 years ago she was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, a type of bone cancer most commonly found in kids from 10-20. 1 month ago, she started feeling really tired all the time which wasnt strange by itself because she was babysitting and being a normal 12 year old. But when she started haTo make this quicker, the cancer has now been found in her spinal fluid, and the doctors told her family if she makes it to THIS christmas, she is lucky. They treatment for this cancer in this location is experimental at best. So the prognosis is 3 months to live, at best. September 30th is her 13th (may be final) birthday. Whitney will be jumping with me on Sunday Oct 22nd, so if anyone wants to join us come on out. Not sure if she is going to be out for the boogie, but we will see. I am still working on the bi-plane and gyrocopter. The balloon will be there if the weather is good. Hope to see everyone there!

We were packing up from a skydive, a kid home on leave was trying to finish his AFF training. Had just done a level IV and was briefing him on a level V. Got a call to turn on the tv and watched as the second plane hit the tower. The kid was in the marines, he immediately said he had to go, never have heard back from him, hope he is well. It was one of those moments i will never forget, we (Paul, David and I) just sat there in the room watching for hours as it all unfolded. It is unbelievable how much a few people on a single day can change the course of history.

Okay folks, the ballon pilot was out checking the area on Monday. His weather window is pretty tight for doing jumps here in Palatka (especially at the airport), but he is willing to try it during the boogie if the conditions are right. I am still following up leads on getting either a gyrocopter or bi-plane out for jumping....more to follow.

Jeff, Wednesday we will be out setting up, if there are enough people, we fly jumpers. Thursday, the caravan will be flying all day. The skyvan will be there Friday morning.

That stuff is is made from pure tenn. spring water, it is so clear because it has no impurities in it! The cup i poured it in was probably less sterile! I have my importers (if I tell you who they, are i may have to kill you) coming to the boogie to make sure the supply is replenished just for this event! You know you want some, you are just scared you may wake up in your tent again and wonder who put it up for you.

Skydive Palatka presents its 11th Annual Hog-Flop. There will be a Skyvan and Caravan for primary jump aircraft with the possibilty of a ballooon and bi-plane. The Deland Fall Guys will be cooking again this year with the dz providing two kegs on Saturday night. We are also bringing back the Halloween Costume contest on Saturday night. Chris Spence is bringing back the "electric 8-way" down from GA for everyone's enjoyment. The Pitts boys are also bringing the inflatiable toys. The Hog Flop Competition will be Saturday afternoon for anyone wanting to participate, only requirements is that you be off student status (many have done their first four-way at this event). My daughter again will be the judge of what constitutes a "back-flip", so start practicing Spence! Hope to see ya'll there! Blue Skies, Art
