I know of a jumper who had a 'slight' malfunction. he did his control check and it flew fine. on landing pattern the toggle lines became stuck and he had a really nasty landing. this is why you make nice with your rigger, when in doubt whip it out ~Always do stupid things safely~

There is Missouri River Valley Skydivers (MRVS) that fly a 182 or a 206 sometimes, about 30 minutes from Zona Rosa. Open most weekens Skydive KC in Butler. I don't know much about them but pretty sure they are closed for the winter (i think) and Skydive Kstate in manhattan, ks about 2 hours away. they fly a 182 and open every weekend the clouds are high and winds are low. ~Always do stupid things safely~

This was more of a general question to see different opinions(clearly not the case is see). I've done a handfull of CRW and I don't have access to many CRW people. BUT when I do it's redneck CRW. Usually the other jumper is on a triatholon 1.5 wl or a semi-eliptical 9 cell ( I know, I fail) roughly the same wingloading. I'm used to wl a canopy at .7, so i'm used to landing off, and backwards :) I'm small so it makes me weary of having alot of weight. In my mind, I would think it's best to get a larger canopy and wear weights to allow for a wider range of people I can jump with? ~Always do stupid things safely~

I'm 105lbs so I have problems flying relative with others. If I were to get a CRW canopy is it best to get a larger canopy for increase stability and wear weights OR get a smaller canopy so I don't have to wear as much weight? Pros and Cons to these? ~Always do stupid things safely~

On jump 2 I almost cut away because my slider wouldn't go UP...decided not too since I could steer and flare....yaaaaa my instructor had a good laugh ~Always do stupid things safely~

I'm a 182 jumper..so what is the rule, when jumping from otter, pac ect..on a go-around? If your spot is off or long, is it finacially sound to do a go around or is it just a pain in the butt? ~Always do stupid things safely~

Not sure if you jump at a large DZ or a small 182 DZ..but if the place allows, try asking for a go- around when people start to Bitch :) Be the Ass Hole all skydivers try to be. Congrats on the save and A ~Always do stupid things safely~

recreationaly hardcore. I dont get a chance to do CRW very often but when I do, i'm emersed in it. I mostly want to gain some skill so I can fly with more people, rather than the ones that just make me look good As far as my 120# exit weight..I'll wear bricks if i have to! ~Always do stupid things safely~

As a graduation present to my self I want to take a trip to a DZ that has some CRW jumpers. I've only done it a few times and would love to spend a weekend practicing. Any recommendations on a crw friendly place? ~Always do stupid things safely~
