  1. Sounds to me like he's saying "contract funds must be spent before the end of the fiscal year in accordance with contract requirements"...but that's just me. Nothing illegal about it, as long as the funds are spent IAW contract requirements. I'm not GS, but a contractor... so I'm responsible for my own retirement. No wonder you sing the contractor song. The gov't is watching us so we got to walk the line. If we were dirty they would pull our contract
  2. IMO the bad PR by local stations is more effective than a class action suit. We somehow became part of a class action suit for price fixing of DRAM. The class action suit is worth $650 million with the lawyers getting 25%. We spent about $70 for our 1/2 gig of dram but somehow were part of the class action and might get back a couple of bucks if lucky I'm guessing Skyride is a small fish in the world of class action lawsuits. And the lawyers are just to busy to going after the big fish to waste their time on skyride.
  3. I should have sued the dude who made our diverite jump suit (skydiving outfit
  4. Hi Dave Maybe contact BB at eloy and see whats up with their lawsuit Skyflea has been doing this crap for how many years?? I know its a lot of money, some people can get very upset when they find out they've been robbed, scamed, fucked etc. But I wouldn't give the lady any unrealistic expectations. She's in for a long steep uphill battle.
  5. How much do you know about Gov't contracting (FARS) Do you have a clue how much stroke KbR/Hallibut has on their staff, Retired general officers & family members, congessional family members etc. The first contract Halibutt got for Iraq was before the war started to put out the oil well fires that never happened. Their work during desert storm/shield gave them a head start on the competition, that and their connections at the highest levels of the gov't. GAO writes reports someone else in the pentagon has the hammer. Yeah, I've got a pretty good idea on how it works, seeing as how I've been doing it for the last 18 years. Good for you we did it for 21 yrs so what does time on the job mean. Since we seem to disagree. Ever been to a preliminary end of FY contracting mtg aprox sept where the main man Bird Col says "We need 100% execution (expenditure of all funds by sept 30) with Zero negative indicators". Is that a goal or a absolute? or just plausable deniability. We retired from the gov't at 48yo (25 yr's service any age) to get out of that nut house. "Now that we no longer work for the Feds We don't have to do any thing stupid unless we want to".
  6. John I can undeerstand the police wanting to have a audio and video record for cya puposes. I don't undestand why all the police depts can't make audio recording of all interviews of suspects in the station house. Instead of just the confessions. As far as expecting the police to treat everyone in a professional manner unless their forced to do otherwise. I think your statement below says it all. "Or are you just talking out of your ass? (again)" We're not perps we're voicing our opinions in cyber space in SC. if this is you attitude after a couple of years on the job I would hope you can understand our concerns on what to expect if we get stopped by more "seasoned officers" in the field. STOP RESISTING!!!!!!
  7. No reason to resist the police unless a person is a dumbass and wants big guy's jumping on their back drop kicking etc. But sometime it appears to be a SOP. Question: I'll be polite if I get stopped by the manbut yes sir no sir no way. Is that a bad thing? When the perp is on their stomach and the police are sitting on them I'm guessing sometimes they can't get their hands behind their back. Which only escalates the situation and makes it appear that their resisting. Sometimes the perps don't want to because they maybe be going for a weapon. How are the cops supposed to know, so the cops have to assume the worst case. The perp is resisting because their going for a weapon. On cops a lot of the perps run from the police thru all kinds of shit and get caught most of the time. The cops are running their butts off with vests, and all their other stuff and never fire a shot. Question: Do the police spend more time on the track then on the range? And do the perps run since the lawyers are going to plead the case down so fleeing ends up being freebee?
  8. Senator John McCain - McCain's naval honors include the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Legion of Merit, Purple Heart and Distinguished Flying Cross You forgot to mention that Mr McCains pappy was a high level admiral in the navy when Johnny boy went to the naval acadamy. Was he treated the same as the other undergrads by the students in the upper classes. What did johnny get his stars because he was a naval acadamy graduate, and his pappy had friends in high places. Some enlisted swine did great thing but were never considered for the higher medals due to their commanders opinion of there lowly position in the ranks. Did Johnny refuse a get out of the hilton early card, because it was offered by Hanoi as a propaganda tool due to johnny's daddy being a admiral? Don't have a clue about the last one but there's lots of BS thats been taken as the truth. The muskegee airmen were reported to have never lost a bomber to german aircraft while the bombers were being escorted by the pilots from muskegee. 50 yrs after the fact proven NOT TRUE!!! Who's the real deal, who do you trust? Hard to find a virgin in politics.

  10. The current leaderships actions during the Vietnam war certainly qualifies... One got an impossible to get appointment ...that for most of the young men at the time to get to get into a National Guard Unit that was protecting from....uh....hmmmmm.....rather than going to Vietnam... or most of them who never served.. yet they are willing to send off other peoples kids to far off wars that they would NEVER go to.. nor will they allow THEIR children to go to while they line their pockets. Sounds like a good definition of cowardice. I think Bill Clinton would be a better example since he outright dodged the draft under the excuse that to serve in 'Nam would, as he put it, ruin his political viability. So Bush served in the NG. Lots of people served in the NG. He also trained in jet fighters, a pretty dangerous activity in its own right. Yeah, I think BC would be a better example of cowardice. Gotta read the history books to find out how GW got into the NG and a flying job. Just like poor Paris Hilton getting released from jail until the judge thru he crying ass back in the can. No point in discussing this crap in SC. We'll see what the history books have to say in twenty- thirty yr's about the GW empire. Just like the concentration camps we opened up for the japanese americans after pearl harbor Kill commies
  11. There are three generations of gear in that pic

  16. Sure. I can be your agent. This should be good. Turtle you might want to invest in a extra large sleeping bag and consume mass amounts of booze. Why? Beware Cow patties are not women that work with cows "A"
  17. if you buy a used cypres make sure it's service record and batteries are up to date (Paperwork from service center). or You could end up paying for two 4 yr checks in a lot less than 4 yr's. Check cypres the website for the facts
  18. We were jumping in a light rain one early winter. At 3500' it was snow and could barely see the ground. Did a H&P. We could see the snow collecting inside the cells of the canopy, and when we landed the ice broke off the leading edge. It was still raining on the ground

  20. It was the "forces that be" who told me about the request and explained why it was denied (something about not getting me too far ahead of my "peers" who have been here much longer, even though I don't know any of them) Blues, Dave
  21. Dont forget the dozens of others out there in recent memory....the sheriffs beating people along an LA freeway....etc. We noticed a trend on the show cops. After the perp is thrown to the ground, knee dropped in the back, The cops start yelling "STOP RESISTING" STOP RESISTING" We realise the cops have to deal with all kind of folks, but when/if we get stopped I expect to be put down, knee dropped, and worst case get charged with resisting after we get out of the hosp.
  22. The current decision was a no brainer due to the constitution. The initial decision to allow it was based on the opinion of some lawyers working for the current admistration. Monetary Lawsuit for ignoring the rights that are protected by the constitution?. 10 yr's from now the supremes may make a final decision that counts.

just because you don't know somebody's name, doesn't mean you can still verbally insult them on here. Some folks should know that better than others
