I agree with you. Warm water diving has never been my thing. Ice diving and cold water!! Better marine life and most importantly better preserved wrecks!! Nice Pics. That first one looks like the Saskatchewan. Have about 100 dives on that wreck!!! have you been to the Riv tow Lion? not a bad wreck but haven't dove it since a week after sinking her. I am hanging up my scuba gear after 15 years and switching to skydiving. It is the Saskatchewan and the other pic is from around 165 on Snake island wall. I have done the Riv Tow but wont go back for a couple years the wreck is too new it needs time for some life to grow. The Bretton is fun so is the Chaud' over in Sechell. Nothing compares to an open water desent...its kinda like freefall without the sudden stop or line twists...float'n off a wall that bottoms out well below recreational limits is like a slow speed base jump. Do it you'll love it. And all you warm water divers are sissy's.... blesed but sissy's The pic's are from Nanimo BC some of the best diving on the planet IMHO

Thanks for all the hints on video!! I wanted to hit 500 by LP but we will see how my DZ travels go. That 3 year thing puts a big damper on getting it done this year. I figured I could get a reserve ride by letting you pack for me. Roy can teach ya how to pack a mal I'm pretty sure in the 10 years I've known him he's had one or two of every kind avalible. And have you ever watched him pack? It sends shivers up my spine. Localy Kerie Farrington over in shelton is a Vector Tandem Examiner and a pretty good person to boot. Fred Sands did the course for Aaron and myself at Praire and as an added bennie if ya dont kill him and survive a years worth of tandems he'll let ya work a little if it's bizy. Todak can probaly tell ya of any other examiners in the area. Enjoy the 3 years prior to getting the rating jump your ass off and have fun no need to rush. Tandems are a blast to do but your responsible for your passengers life! Blues Bill

All right since I do pretty much every thing bassakwards. I'll Say Hi to anyone that actully reads this... HI... I made the mistake of lette'n an ex-girl friend talk me into doing other thing's... my attatude went south now she's the Ex!! Yes that really is my D#. I started jumping in UMMMM...97 I think every thing up to 04 is a lil fuzzy. At one time I was a Vector Tandem whore and a S/L, IAD JM. Thats over thank god This year it's back to CReW, try'n not to get dead on my sometimes less than gracefull return to the planet, funnelin fu&^%d-up skydives every place possible & finding more old friends... To drink more BEER with. I rember things like getting into cars without knowing the destination but taking comfort in the fact we had rigs and a lot of freekin beer... Otters, Sky-van,s Trees in Lodi... a tree! New Years eve @ Peris 00' Sunset X-country's in Montaaana (with beer) and lots and lots of beer bought and drunk. So look out if ya jump in the N.W. the idiot with a shit eatin grin on his face that funnels your dive... (cause re-building them is way more challenging)... just may be me!! First of all I'm just a lurker here most of the time but I have to say that their is some good advice being given the trick (as I see it ... in skydiving in general) is knowing whome to take advice from and who to ignore. Learning how your canopy fly's is a GOOD THING. Understanding how to fly a consistante pattern is a GOOD THING. Doing a 90 on a Diablo low BAD...VERRY BAD I say that after a couple broken ribs given to a 500 jump wounder by an unforgiving Diablo. Diong a low 90 on a Stellito even worse ... verry verry sore but not broken by the grace of ?? Oh yea we have to be real clear in here right? DZ Ele: 350' MSL Wing loading 1.5 Diabol 150 1.9 Stellito 135 experiance(at the time 500 +/- on the Diablo) 550+ Stellito In short to the origanal poster looking for advice take every thing you read with a grain of salt... or look into supplemental insurance. KNOWING WHO YOUR DEALING WITH IS GOOD but hey I just read this crap most of the time so what do I know. You may even want to try some CReW if you want to learn to fly your canopy, food for thought.
