  1. Yes option 4 is a good one, Sorry should have thought about that. Also if you threaten to report him it means that the ball is in his court. if you do end up reporting him it will be a shitstorm especially if he has more illegals working there! Once immigration visit you once you pretty much are watched from then on.. that means packers ,instructors, manifestors are all at risk!! Immigration busted a DZ last year i think it was New england (might have wrong place) but i think a bunch of guys were deported.. bad news for a DZO!!!
  2. So you were working illegally? Did you even start the visa process whilst at the DZ ? As it would be yourself that would apply and you would have been only sponsored by the employer. Its not his responsibility to do the paperwork its yours. And i highly doubt you would have been granted a visa for doing tandems when there are plenty of US citizens that can do the same job. What visa were you applying for? H12B ? P1 ? Did you not have an immigration lawyer filing visa papers for you? I hate to say it but you do not have any rights or rights to that last paycheck as you were in the country on a visitor visa which does not allow you to work at all. It also sounds like you were refused entry when you last tried to come into the USA! So you were deported? Usually this comes with a 5 year no entry ban after being refused. Do you have a 5 year ban? Basically you were working when not allowed so you have 3 options as far as i can see. 1. Forget about the money (Sounds like the dzo has) 2. Admit to working illegally still not receive your paycheck but as the dzo employed you he will be subject to up to $20,000 fine for employing illegal workers if you report him. 3. Out him on DZ.com .. if you have a 5 yr ban i doubt your coming to America anytime soon anyway
  3. If this is the same one that was pitched up at DeLand for a while then i can offer my opinion. ITS SO LOUD in fact so loud you couldnt hear any manifest calls over the loudspeakers when it was running. To put it into perspective you could hear the machine over the aircraft .Also has lots of dead air around the sides so you have to fly dead center. It also stank so strongly of diesel that people were leaving the dz when it was running. First hand experience, maybe would be good for whuffos but pretty useless for skydivers imo
  4. Um i included 2 email cotacts for you and Normiss also included a link.!!
  5. My pick would be Kim from Skydive University, Jumps in Deland and has thousands of jumps and loads of tunnel experience great AFF instructor. You will get a very structered lesson brief and debrief with sdu. failing that Sally and Martin are great too and will provide similar structured lessons to maximise your time. [email protected] (kim) [email protected] (sally)
  6. Is it just me or is it obvious to everyone else to that Kynan and Surfbum are the same person hahahaha Good luck with your videos however you might want to advertise in a mag or something. Btw The freefly series by Skydive u is fantastic and worth every penny. And The new dvd head down is out and the best of the bunch.
  7. Olav offered to coach me in the tunnel, Thing is i am better than him and have been flyer pro for 3 years, However his attitude was "Well i am Ze father of freefly".. Was very insulting when i can clearly fly circles around him!! His coaching is not up to speed if anything he should only be coaching basics but trying to promote advanced coaching is absurd and dangerous imo. He is not the only one doing this. There are many coaches who should learn to fly first!!!
  8. That show is sick!!!! I just watched all of them.So much for working today!!!
  9. Hi Curtis im glad you used SDU the folk at SDU are excellent, i recommended them to you earlier in the thread. Im glad it all worked out for you. I know SDU has highly qualified instructors i have worked with Kim and Chromy a few times and i will hopefully get to again soon.
  10. Ari is not a Skydiving Instructor and the person wants somebody who is also an Instructor. I would also recommend Chromy he s very good and speaks 20+ languages, He works for Skydive University.
  11. Skydive University coach alot in Orlando and are extremely good and very professional. All Sdu Coaches are Instructors i highly recommend booking with them. You should contact Kim from DeLand [email protected] she can help you out.
  12. Wow thats cheap!!!! Count me in.
  13. Hell yeah im soooooo excited to have a freefly team back at DeLand and Hybrid look super Badass, I will be there every weekend for sure.. Feels like xmas has come early in DeLand.
  14. I met Howard a few times at Skydive crosskeys.... really nice guy and he did tell some great stories. He will be missed by many blue skies. Alanna
