QuoteMaybe he should use some of that money to buy maps for the people of the South Africa and the Iraq.
And maybe use some of that money to help bring the tiger back to Africa, cause in the 29yrs I lived there I never saw one. Yet everyone thinks tigers come from Africa
Please Prince wont you help the poor tiger get back to his mother land

Well done Mark -
QuoteAre you sure they do a Solo 290. Their website only goes up to Solo 270 and thats one of the reasons my DZ didn't go for them for students, ie the recommended maximum weight wasn't high enough for our full range of student weights.
Here is some basic info on the Solo Canopy.
The Solo is produced in three sizes, 230, 250 & 270
Planform factor: 6.6
Aspect Ratio: 2.51
Number of cells: 9
Fabric: Hybrid
Suspension lines: 525 lbs. DACRON
As with any student gear the DZO and S&TA will make the choice that they feel is right for their program and needs, many choose to go with a name or brand they trust.
I'd say get a demo, have the staff and Instructors jump it and work on a feed back session within your DZ, that way when the choice is made on what direction and canopy the DZ buys, you have the entire staff supportive of it -

The service bulletin was released after we had found grommets on some Icon Harness Container Systems had been pressed to hard, thus causing the grommet to split (see image attached) this is for an inspection and possible replacement of damaged grommets that are effected.
If you have any questions on this or any other Aerodyne related matter please feel free to contact Customer Service or myself and we'll gladly assist.

QuoteWell, Aerodyne and PDF have their gear made in south africa so it affects them, cypres are made in germany so it affects them as well. This is why they would need the prices to go up to survive seeing they are made in other countries.
Gary
You are partly correct in your comments, Aerodyne has two facilities that produce our line of quality skydiving gear, one is in South Africa and the other is in DeLand FL, the canopies are manufactured in South Africa and the Icon Harness is manufactured in DeLand FL. Aerodyne owns and runs our facility in South Africa, we brought key staff over from PISA/Aerodyne to ensure continuity and quality standards.
Many of the current skydiving manufactures are making use of facilities outside of the US to manufacture their line of products, counties like Honduras, South Africa, and Asia are among the leading places for affordable production.

He's getting a card.
Once again Remi and the wifey gave me the best entertainment (jump wise) at the boogie. Fun to watch a cut-away and reserve ride, from above while heading back to the DZ.
Nice work girl ..... Remi why did you not land with her gear?
