  3. cons: no skyhook (yet).

As a small rant, the 3-ring system is a gimmick, but it's not going to harm anything.

During PIA, Aerodyne along with a few other manufacturers licensed the SkyHook from Bill Booth, once the needed testing and revisions to the reserve container have been made and approved, the Icon will be SkyHook ready.

The Mini Force System, is far from a gimmick, and without getting into a debate on this, if you would like more info, please visit our website

I did a couple of searches regarding the Icon sport . I only came up with very old posts . This is why I wanted to start another thread concerning the Icon sport and its quality and features. So fire away on your thoughts of this container system pros and cons . Also if you could compare it to the wings system which is better in you opinion cheers

    Ryan,

There are many great harness container systems on the market (rigs), and each has pros and cons.

If you'd like more info on the Icon Sport, please feel free to contact me at the office or visit our website

The Mamba come standard with 700 lb HMA Line - Which provides exacting tolerance on line trims, Spectra shrinks over time due to friction of the slider coming down during deployment, thus the canopy would slowly go outta trim.

HMA does not shrink, but needs to be inspected every 50 to 100 jumps, as a worn set of HMA could snap a few lines during deployment.

If you have any questions on our gear or problems you might have encountered, please feel free to contact me at the office or via PM

I just got my new container, and noticed the chest strap is about 2-2.5 inches below my nipples, across the bottom of my stirnum. Every other rig i have worn previously has been rented or borowed, but they all had chest straps that came across my nipples or close to. Given that my new container was custom built, its hard for me to imagine the strap being in the wrong place, however logic tells me its better if the strap comes across the bulk of the chest, and not an area that has less flesh and may be vulnerable in the event of a hard opening. So far, its not uncomfortable to me just walking around in it, but I have not jumped it yet (will tomorrow for the 1st time). Can this be fixed, or am I just being too particular and its not a problem in the first place?

Coming from a manufacturer the best would be to have photos taken when your fully geared up, in your normal jumpsuit with the chest strap and leg straps secured as if you were about to jump. Send these to the customer service department of the manufacturer and see what they have to say about the fit of the harness.

  • This is the info I have been given by Mike Wolf from ZHills.

Orlando is being kept in an induced comma and has two bruises on the lower back section of his brain, there has been some swelling. So far no real news on the condition of his recovery until he is brought around and evaluated by a doc.

Our hopes and prayers go to him and his family during this time.

The canopy has the soft links attached to the lines on the line attachemnt card, when you unroll the canopy, you will see them.

Now get it rigged and packed and send photos of you flying it :P

So, I'm working in Kansas City for the summer. I've heard (and read some of the stuff on here) about some of the politics out here in KC. I plan on taking a bunch of guys from work out to jump, any recomendations on where to go.
The threads I searched seemed mostly like squabbling from a year and a half ago, so I have no idea how much it applies to now.:S

    Thanks:)

I'm not to informed on the KC DZ Scene but I have been to MVRS and they have a great facility and friendly and family oriented staff, my suggestion would be to head out that way. In the end most DZ in KC will offer you the best possible service.

    Have fun ;-)

Could some experienced jumpers please give me some advice: I am buying a complete rig having completed AFF and my FS1 and am going to be doing a lot of jumping this year. I am ordering a Rig and am going to get either a Spectre or Sabre 2 170. I have read the reviews of both and from what I can see both are good, but can anyone advise me on which I should choose? I will get another 60 odd jumps in Sept and quite a few more by the end of the year. Many Thanks! :S

I would suggest getting a demo of each canopy your looking to buy, also talk to your ST&A, and Inst and get there advice on canopies.

My suggestion would be to look at the following canopies over and above the ones your already thinking of.

    Triathlon
    Pilot

Get in touch and I'll help you with the right contact to get demo's on these canopies.

    Hi there,

So I created this thread a few months ago to give me some ideas for my next rig.
Now here it is! I made my first jump with it last week, and it was great!

    Have a look!

    Nice Rig ... ;)
