Are you happy to land a 126 f1-11 canopy into a tight landing area that may have curl over from trees and such near by and power lines cutting down your outs etc etc etc - if not dont get one - if you only jump at one DZ what is the surrounding area like? jumpers are now doing this with BASE gear - its called a McConkey - sure Tom would be able to fill you in seeing that there is some vid of him doing one off the Perrine I have also heard that people have started doing these off other of the 4 Objects................ phuq that! thats way outta my comfort zone! I have seen a few people jump D-bags without stows - it has a pocket on the outside created by a flap with two locking stows - the lines are freestowed in the pocket - kinda like a tailpocket on CRW / BASE canopies - and the locking stows ensure the canopy does not deploy until line stretch - has anyone seen this before and know of any manufacturer that has these for sale........ cya Michael

How is it valuable for all people when most people reading this do not have any BASE knowledge and will perhaps interperate the information incorrectly - it may even go as far as helping people back up their arguments of saying BASE is "crazy" - and yes some skydivers still think this way............ Is it not like publishing skydiving fatalities on a whuffos site???? it will only be misunderstood just my $0.02 cya

Saying that – I also think that the posts relating to Norway are sort of Skydiving related – as some skydivers will venture over without any BASE knowledge and go and kill themselves thinking its safe………. This needs to be highlighted……….. it aint a hop n pop!! again just my opinion....... Mac

OK so you put a BASE forum in - where do you stop?!? - In my opinion BASE is so much a different sport to skydiving - so are we going to have forums on paragliding & kite surfing just cause they happen to use parachutes / parachute type equipment? Leave BASE to BLiNC - where more informed people post - and leave skydiving to DZ.com they are no way the same sport!!! just my opinion!!!............... Mac
