My dad is a seriously cool blind dude. He is very independent (for being a blind guy) and has even done a tandem jump I may not agree with what you have to say but i'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Well I don't really post here too much but do have quite a bit of fun when I do. I figured this is a cool site and well, why not help support it a little. So i decided to become a "premier" member I may not agree with what you have to say but i'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Well i made my flight yesterday. (sitting in oc right now and boy oh boy is it freakin sweet) I was pretty suprised. Security didn't say one word about my rig. I was ready for it too. Well, I still have 2 more flights i have to make before july 7th. Hopefully they will go just as smoothly I may not agree with what you have to say but i'll defend to the death your right to say it.

That's a great idea to cut away the main to lighten the load a little. Im leaving tommrow morning traveling with my rig for the first time. I have done just about everything I could think of to make it as easy as possible. I am guilty of that. Most the time I type faster than I think. Oh yeah what about than and then? I am pretty good with lose and loose though. Yeah I can't believe I did that without even thinking either. The thing is, not trying to make an excuse or anything (after all it should be common sense) its just that this was never told or taught to me. Oh yeah I forgot about 2 more kinda related. The first was I was out for several months with a broken knee (non skydiving related). When I finally made it back to the dz I was feeling confident I could still pack. I did have it checked by another jumper but not a rigger or instructor. Turned out I had misrouted my bridle. Yup...pilot chute in tow! I was in denial that it was actually happening to me. I didn't even go for my reserve handle until I had passed 1000 ft. The only thought that was going through my head was *32nd jump, no way am I haveing a malfunction already* The one that is related is a week later when i pulled one of my brakes came out. Since just having my first mal I was a little jumpy. Instead of looking up to see what the problem was I cut it I felt like an ass when I landed and jim wallace looked at my canopy and showed me what the problem had been. This has happend a few times since but I do what you're supposed to do. Just grab the other toggle I may not agree with what you have to say but i'll defend to the death your right to say it.

wow! Yeah I probably would have been thinking the same thing. High alt. hop n pops are fun though. Did a 10k hop n pop just a few weeks ago to escape the heat for a few minutes of course everyone on the dz knew what we were doing. And it's a small one cessna dz so its not like we had to worry about another load over us I may not agree with what you have to say but i'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Ok I was just thinking of a stupid mistake I made a several years ago. I think I had about 50 jumps at the time. Well, i went out on a solo tracking. I tracked towards the line of flight and ended up infront of the person that left after me. He said we werent in any danger of colliding but he was kinda pissed that I had done something like that. Yeah ok I should have known. Lesson learned. I would never do such a thing again. Im just curious what other stupid mistakes have been made. ok one last reply and im done with it. I already have a plan of action on this. Well anyway, talking to/using my chain of command. It has gotten so bad here I try to stay away from my squad leader and plt sgt as much as possible. When im around any of them I feel like I have to walk on egg shells to not get screwed. But like I said, I already have a plan of action. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to give advice on this. I have considered all options. I know how im going to handle this mess. I hear what you are saying and will take it into account. It's just getting worse and worse as time goes on. I wont whine here. As for being a shibag.....no I really don't believe I am. Out of the almost 2 years I have been in I have never even had a negative counseling (which is amazing givin the current state of our unit). None of that matters now though. Our 1st. SGT already told us, NO exceptions to the rule. Oh well. Just gotta roll with the punches. I may not agree with what you have to say but i'll defend to the death your right to say it.

oh yeah that has already been discussed with the guys at my dz. I was saying a month and someone laughed and said I better make it 2 or 3. ah, well we are being deployed soon so they have "block leave" for the whole unit. Meaning that whoever puts in for leave will get it accepted. So long as you are not pending UCMJ or anything like that. I may not agree with what you have to say but i'll defend to the death your right to say it.
