The person at the wheel is the only one aboard that really KNOW what is going on with the aircraft and how controllable it is. That`s why you should listen.

If you`re ever in a lightly loaded An-2,ask the pilot to give you some real 0G it`s fun as hell in that spacious bird.

The An-3 should be a great climber,but turbines are whiny.

Bring a good book and be patient,with 10 on board the An-2 might not get you the full 13.5 but 12 or so is within reach in about 45 minutes.

That might work for the people seated right next to the door. Or do you intend to climb over everyone else if you are sitting further away?

The An-2 is a decent climber up to about 6000 feet.

It did not fall like a brick as far as I could tell from back there,we did however and after a few low speed exits the pilots were asked to speed up.

An almost hovering Mi-8,airspeed about 5 km/h. The An-2 travelled at a blistering 50 km/h according to the speedometer mounted over the door.
