  1. When somebody try to steal someone else national history is a monkey exempt if he is a communist, like Yugoslav leader TITO (croatian) who create the modern FAKE YUGOSLAV PROVINCE of 'MACEDONIA' on 1948!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!then you can speak about tyranny and propaganda.
  2. Guess what "no bro" No matter what you immagine, Iranian people they accept their history bad or good and maybe they are proud of it. For this reason they still prefer to be PERSIANS AND NOT MACEDONIANS AND THEY DON'T TRY TO STEAL FROM ANYBODY HIS NATION HISTORY. By the way if you think that because Alexander the Great occupied ancient PERSIA for 10 years, THE ANCIENT MACEDONIANS ARE GREEK AS MUCH ARE PERSIANS!!!!!!!!!THEN HONESTLY BETTER TO STOP TALKING BECAUSE YOU GET YOURSELF VERY FUNNY.
  3. Sorry but for sure you don't Know much about ALEXANDER THE GREAT, and his History or the history of ancient GREEK KINGDOM of MACEDONIA..........all the Historians of the last 2300 years refer to ALEXANDER THE GREAT, why was so GREAT????? because he transfer the Greek civilization in every place he 'occupied' and at the same time he respect the local manners and traditions. For thoose reasons his Kingdom never faced internal revolution until his death. Because simply was acceptable by everybody and this is amazing and unique in World history. What Alexander the Great did was exactly what your monkey president and his allies are not doing in Iraq. The major part of Alexander Kingdom was in ASIA, and you speaking about Midle East and Africa................and for somebody that looks different!!!!!!!!Sorry about that, I don't like to speak from Internet like that, but you look like you haven't got a clue about ancient (GREEK) history including ALEXANDER THE GREAT. Some advice, if you really don't care and because for sure you don't know please don't reply because you make me lauph a lot. HAHAHAHAHAHA, and please look forward to solve the racial and filetic problems back in your country because here in Greece we never have that big problem.....everybody is acceptable no matter what his colour or race.....we are 10.000.000 and we have one milion immigrants from 91 and after....WAKE UP.
  4. Even if you are the first person in the world who is speaking about 'Macedonian tyranny' every opinion is acceptable. Of course there were some bloudy battles regarding the Greek cities who didn't allied with the GREEK kingdom of Macedonia but that was what happens all the time in ancient Greek history between the cities with some exceptions (Greek-persian wars). You look like you care about Ancient history so you know at least that the state of Scopja has no relation at all with ancient Macedonia and slavs with ancient Macedonians. That is enough for me. Thanks Bro for replying, I still don't understant why you refer to me as (blatant) racist exept if you find any lies in my previous post????
  5. You have all the rights Bro to don't care that much about the truth regarding Greek-Skopjians relations and the name problem. But just to inform you, when you refer to Skopjians as 'Macedonians' then you are not neutral because you simply reckon slav monkeys as decendants of ancient Macedonians and this is really funny as Funny are all the (idiot) people in the world plus crapppy (connected) international media (including CNN and BBC) who refered scopjians as 'Macedonians', and their funny state as 'Macedonia'. You are from U.K Bro, what about a fucking Slav monkey to start propagate that HORATIO NELSON (the greatest hero in British naval history) was fucking Scopjian, you'll pissed off I think, that is exactly what happens here.
  6. No problem Bro, the truth in our days sometimes hurt and so the removal of the video. Have a look here if you want to learn the truth: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BE8jc1NJzhE&mode=related&search= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oHivXjiX_w&mode=related&search=
  7. Even this is not true at all, Macedonians were like all the other Greek people at the epoch, like Spartans, people of Athens, Thiva people and so on, they took part in the Olympic games ( only Greek cities and Kingdoms took part in the Olympics) they spoke Ancient Greek, they have Greek names (Alexandros, Philipos father of Alexander, Olympiada mother of Alexander) and they had not any relation AT ALL with albanian, bulgarians and other slav monkeys who apeared at the region after the 6th century after jesus.
  8. You are right bro, about how much crapy is FYRO'M''s army, but please don't call them 'Macedonians', they are just slavs like bulgarians and other yugoslavians. I know is not your mistake but everybody else, through 6 years in UK, I always listen to idiot BBC coresponders to refer to Skopians as 'Macedonians'. This unfortunately happens to every place in the world, through nobody really cares about the name problem except from Greek people try to save their nation's history. This funny state would not exist if UCK (albanians)wasn't such a crapy rebel army (the crapiest ever), and if the idiot peacefull Greek Goverment still talking with thoose slav monkeys and at the same time suport them both military ( providing helicopters and armoured vechicles, etc in the crap army of Skopjia during albanian 'revolutionary' war) and economically (more than 250 milion dollars per year Greek suport in the crap Skopjan economy, etc).
  9. In this video all the truth regarding the Funny nation of FYRO'M' that some idiots, including the number 1 idiot of our days, the monkey president Bush named this bastard nation "MACEDONIANS"!!!!!!!!!!!!! and their funny country "MACEDONIA"!!!!!!!!!! in one stupid effort to steal one (only) part from the 5000+ years of Greek (civilized) History: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUbFbUdv_gM&mode=related&search=
  10. Yes, you are totally right Bro, with 40 euros the jumpticket nobody expects Megara to be a busy dropzone with foreign jumpers in the near future. And honestly, you can not jump more than 3-4 times at Megara the same weekend day (at the moment). But if you make it to Greece for holidays, then bring your rig together and believe me, thoose 2-3 jumps you'll loged at Megara, you'll have to remeber.... The view from 13,000+ ft over Megara is Socking beautiful...... There are always RW and FF guys around, asking for build a formation in the next jump and are times that everybody say " Ohhh, Fuck out everybody, I want to jump solo just to see how beatifull it is....."
  11. Dear Damion 75, The jump plane is a leased C-208B Grand Caravan from a cargo company (www.aeroland.gr) modified for parachuting, very fast turboprop. Is as fast as the Caravan I was jumping at Langar, but of course Langar's Caravan was fully modified for skydiving with floater steps and rails, and Langar's pilots had way more experience in paradrops. The jump ticket is unfortunately very expensive, cost 40 euros from 12,500-14,000ft. To compare in Langar I was paying 20 pounds(~30 euros) for a jumpticket from the same altitude ( Caravan -Skyvan) or even higher 15,000-16,000ft (Beech 99). The Friday was just 15 pounds (22 euros) from max altitude always. So the jumpticket here in Greece is very expensive compared to the Rest of Europe and UK. But keep in mind that people of Megara aeroclub they can do better, through the rent of the aircraft for the weekend is very expensive, and we are not many people. Megara aeroclub is the only Parachuting club for civilians in the Greek capital area, and you will not see more than 15-20 people every weekend. So we are not doing more than 3-5 Caravan lifts per day at the moment............. Unfortunatelly Skydiving here in Greece is not very popular (even the weather is the Best in the world), and all the airports are under military control due to tension with turkey. We hope that in the future will be better, and the jumpticket price will drop as the interest of people for skydiving will increase. As regards the location of the dropzone is very easy to find it. You can go straight from Athens International airport to the dropzone in just 30-35 minutes time using the suburban railway ( pass every 5 minutes from the airport, and live you exactly outside the dropzone (Megara station)!!!!!!!!!!) or just pm or e-mail us and we can pick you up from the airport. Hope that these infos help. Also Marios is working on manifest of aeroclub, so he can help you more if you have other questions. Good luck, thanks for the interest. P.S And something last. Here some movies-photos from the dropzone as it is today during the weekend's Aeroclub Megara skydiving activities: http://www.aeroclubmegara.gr/index.php?id=7,5,0,0,1,0 The movie on you tube, is the first drop at Megara on 12 Octomber 1944, from 2nd Independent British Parachute brigade during the operation MANA for Freedom of Greece from Nazi occupation. Later on December 1944 British Paras together with the 3rd Greek mountain brigade and the Greek Sacred Squadron 1st SAS (the only combat ready Greek fighting units at the time, from thoose who were fighting on North Africa and Italy) saved Greece from the 20,000+ armed Communist gangs of ELAS, during the historic Battle of Athens.
  12. One incredible video on you tube, about the 1st (historically) drop on 1944 at Megara during operation MANA after the freedom of Greece from Nazis: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNgbQh8exaI The dropzone remains for more than 50 years the main dropzone of Greek army special forces...........and is open from 1979 to civilians for sport parachuting, the oldest skydiving club in Greece with ex and curent special forces instructors and TOP SAFETY (0 fatalities Record). So, if you want to jump in the most historic and maybe the most beatifull dropzone in the earth, next skydiving activities at Megara will be on 3-4 February and practically every weekend after. For more info contact the dropzone manifest: mailto:[email protected]
  13. No problem Mate, the overal cost to fly to Spain, go to the dropzone and the jump, will cost you far more than jump at Megara, but you decide... and Empuria is a Famous and interest place to go. Good luck also to your AFF...tandem skydives help people to progress in solo skydiving for sure.
  14. Dear sweetmouse If you want to jump in the most beautifull dropzone (by far) in Europe and maybe the cheapest (regarding tandems), then Megara in Greece is for you and your girlfriend. Aeroclub of Megara organize jumps every weekend. cost of tandem jump is 220 euro from 13,500ft+ (the highest possible, last weekend we jump from 14,000ft).....maybe the cheapest in Europe, and I don't know??? maybe you take some discount if you need two tandem jumptickets. Cameraman (absolute neccesary at Megara) cost 70 euros, but there are amateur cameramans around that maybe will monitor your jump for free!!!! Instructor is Greek army special forces operator, USPA qualified with thousands of jumps, and a very low profile guy, so you are in very safe hands. Rig is a brand new Atom Tandem if I remember correct??with Cypres AAD. The dropzone is just 25-30 minutes away from Athens International Airport!!!!!!!!! You can either use the suburban railway ( pass every 5 minutes from Athens International Airport and 30 minutes later leave you exactly outside the dropzone (Megara station)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) or just let me Know the day and time of your arrival and I pick you up from the airport by car, or if I am not available??we'll arange some other skydiver from Megara to pick you up from the airport. The dropzone has no facilities, keep in mind that Megara are still the Main dropzone of Greek army special forces and a huge military Helicopter base.........jumping for civilians permited only the weekends when all the other air activities at the area paused. But this is not a problem through Athens (Greek capital) is 20 minutes from the dropzone, and you can find cheap accomodation (we help you on this) and some 5000+ clubs, disco, Cinemas, etc if you want to have fun with your girlfriend. Forget also about Weather over Megara. Simply the scientific definition of "BLUE SKIES", If you'll come to Megara, you'll Jump. Hope these information help? For any other question let me know or e-mail to manifest of club here for more info, and to book your tandem: mailto:[email protected] some photos and movies from the dropzone to have a little idea, in reality jumping from 14,000ft over Megara is like jumping from a space satelite!!!!......: Photos: http://www.aeroclubmegara.gr/content/images/757fe7c76b213e236d08bcb81514b1ff.jpg http://www.aeroclubmegara.gr/content/images/276446ec21f02bc9a251479ed73e6ba5.jpg Movies: http://www.aeroclubmegara.gr/Images/Spiliopoulos_tandem.mpg http://www.aeroclubmegara.gr/Images/tandem.mpg Hope to meet you bro sometime on March over Megara Good luck
  15. Very good question! The ground training on the Army parachute course (5 weeks duration in my time) is practically similar in learning subjects with a round static line course in sport parachuting (very rare today) or a RAPS course with some differences in landing and exit technique. Why take so long? in my opinion for the perfection of PLF technique... The majority of ground training was PLF training using various training facilities. This is vary important for the Army. In a mass drop, especially in war time, if you get injured?, broke leg or even twist......for the Army you are a combat casualty and this is not good at all... Fall rate for round canopies is higher than square and this is the main reason Army prefer for mass drops to use round canopies instead of square. Commandos are less vulnerable in enemy attack (they stay less time in the air). But as the fall rate is higher, PLF is the only effective landing technique for safe landing in a unknown zone with maybe many unknown obstacles (physical or technical). So a well trained paratrooper must be taught the perfect PLF landing. Many French Foreign Legion commandos jump for first time in combat (in Indochina 50 years before) in the battle of Dien Bie Phu, without proper ground training and were severe casualties in the ground. Second very important reason, for use of round canopies in the paratrooper training is that they open very quickly. T-10, MC-1B,C etc open all automatically after exit using static line and they don't take more than 200ft if you jump for a Chinook helicopter or UH-1H Huey. If you jump from a fast C-130 Hercules, then doesn't take more than few feet. This is vary important through in combat operations the mass drops are made (sometimes) from 300-500ft, the minimum altitude. Of course and square parachute can open very quickly if packed properly (base packing techniques) but there are and other combinated reasons that make rounds better choice for mass drops. Round canopies are less manuvrable than squares................those if the jump is a low altitude 300ft mass drop with exit separation less than 1 sec between the paratroopers, the separation in the ground will be very small and the unit can be reorganized very quickly and start fighting immediately. This is possible practically only using round canopies, especially for paratroopers with 10-15 training jumps. Small ground separation using squares is possible only for experience skydivers..........for low experience jumpers, the high forward speed of square canopies is a problem. Keep in mind also that a paratrooper jumping in combat from 300ft and 125 mph C-130 speed has 1 sec to check his canopy, 1 sec to release his Bergen and one sec to be preparate for PLF..........using a fast travelling square this is a problem.... Parachute operation capability for a Modern army is absolute essential. Maybe in Afghanistan the terrain doesn't help and in Iraq the fighting is on the cities but in other places around the world can be used and in very effective mode. What happens in British army is absolute a disaster for the moral of the para units also involved in combat operations). The army of a powerful country, with 60 years history in combat paradrops, stop parachuting training!!!!!????!!!??? This is very funny, unbelievable................there is no real reason, except of fu@@ing politicians take decisions about armed forces, and trying to save some money for their government "social program"...... p.s I agree with Nick that East counties and Soviet Union were many years ahead in parachuting..... I jump with Spetnaz years before in Bulgaria using a D-6 Russian parachute from an An-2..... Practically was the same as Free-fall with a pilot chute opened with static line immediately after the exit. Then you just pull the ripcord after 5-7 sec or the automatic devise (similar to FX) will open your chute... Very Wicked, the AK-47 in our chest and the Bergen on the back like the HAHO/HALO jumpers. All their paratroopers were Free fall qualified and had packing certificate... The D-6 Russian parachute could be modified for total free fall operation and the ancient An-2 (very slow and wood made) was stealth in every western ground radar. Could fly over enemy territory's main highways for infiltration of raider teams and give the same contrast in AWACS aircraft monitors as a automobile!!!!!!
  16. Ok, and a few more historic and current information about Megara Dropzone, so Dropzone.com members have a better understanding. As Marios said jumping start in Megara-Greece last summer (under USPA control this time), but in fact parachuting activities for civilians started many years before in Megara... First attempt for establishment of parachuting activities in Megara was back on 1979 when an army free fall instructor trained 42 civilians using the army manuals and a C-47 Dakota (rented from the Greek air force " POLEMIKH AEROPORIA"). Civilian parachuting at Megara, all these years, was sometimes in low and sometimes in high intensity.....keep in mind that all the Greek airports are under military control because of the tension with Turkey and Megara dropzone is still an active Greek army air force Helicopter base and Greek Army Special Forces main drop zone. So skydiving activities for civilians take place only the weekends, when there aren't any other activities. The Dropzone is highly connected with the modern History of Greece through in 12 October 1944 British 2nd Parachute Independent Brigade dropped in Megara (after the withdraw of Germans) to support the very few national Greek forces (operation 'MANA') in the battle against numeric superior communist gangs. This was the first parachute drop at Megara dropzone history. 11 years later (1955) Greek army Special Forces department establish a parachute school and the first drop take place in July 1955 (C-47 Dakota, T-7 parachute systems, American and Greek instructors). From 1955 and afterwards Megara is for more than 50 years the main Dropzone of Greek Army Special Forces (first free fall school in february 1969). The dropzone is maybe the most beautiful in the earth with incredible views over nearby mountains, legendary ancient island of Salamina, gulf of Megara and Athens. Jumping altitude is 12,500ft. Aircraft is a very fast C-208 turbine leased from a cargo company {Aeroland (www.aeroland.gr)} modified for skydiving with Vortex system (flying without door), static line attack point, green-red light and communication system for connection of jumpmaster and pilot. The people at the dropzone are very friendly and organize RW and free flying formations... Jumping is a little bit expensive but the people who operating the dropzone, they can do better, through there is little interest (at the moment) in Greece about skydiving activities and they leased the aircraft. Connection to the dropzone is by fare the more easy you can find in the earth. You arrive in Athens International airport, you get the suburban railway (pass every 5 minutes from airport) and imagine!!!???!!!????after 30-35 minutes time, you get out of the train and you are outside the dropzone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!MUHAHAHA Megara station is exactly outside the dropzone!!!!!!!!!then you can walk 5 minutes!!!!!!to reach Megara dropzone MANIFEST (a tend!!!!), or just give us a call and we peak you up in 1min by car!!!!! Facilities are non existing at the moment ...........just pure hardcore Skydiving and ultimate adventure. If you want to stay in Greece and not go back Home the same day!!!(After the last lift of the day) you can find cheap accommodation in Athens (we help you for this). Hope this help… If any other question, please contact aeromegara: mailto:[email protected] www.aeroclubmegara.gr satelite image: http://www.fallingrain.com/world/GR/35/Megara.html
  17. Many thanks Bro for your P.M explain everything. Otherwise, for all the foreighn skydivers on Dropzone.com: I think Marios is your best conection if you want to jump to the most beatiful dropzone in the earth, through communication with the dropzone is some times impossible. Many thanks Marios and welcome again. See you on Sunday.
  18. Some nice movies from Google, If you haven't seen them with Patrick De Gayardon unbelivable footage.......3600 jumps in 31 years old (1991), 19 malfuctions Base jumping with skydiving rig since 1984, unbelivable skysurfing-freestyle performance...: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1460067093493059226 Skysurfing again from Patrick with some nice stupid jurnalist questions ( as usual): http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2744860433303580971 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5477467724408579859
  19. Yes, as sport parachutist, I have done 1 jump at Megara!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Is this real or just a joke?? Thanks for any info.
  21. Thanks for the news guys, hope no more minor accidents and a better second weekend. I agree that maybe the Langar Boogie on weekends looks like a invitational event for experienced FS jumpers because they organize big ways, but I thing this is what happens every time, Langar has a reputation in FS.......and this year there are many CRW and FF groups as well. And maybe there is difficulty to operate so many aircrafts and everybody must be careful with the traffic. Midweek maybe is better and depends how fast are somebody in packing, he can manage 8-10 jumps in a day with good weather. I jump mainly midweek and I have done 4-5 jumps in Langar in a day with moderate weather and very few people in the dropzone. I don't think would be a problem in the boogies for 8-10jumps. Maybe I am wrong but anyway, see everybody tomorrow. REGARDS
  22. Any news so far, from Langar boogie? Unfortunately I am very busy with Uni, and I'll be only in the last weekend........hope the weather would be Ok and we'll make lot of jumps and see the Brit-122!!!!!! But any news from the first weekend??? I much appreciate it, the forecast was superb! How many lifts on Saturday??? I remember in first 2006 boogie were 55 lifts in the first day!!!!!!!!!!!with only one Skyvan. Does anybody knows if the Bell 206 will make any appear and which day? Wish lot of jumps to everybody at Langar See ya next Saturday EZ
