Everyone brings a somewhat inexpensive present, under $20 usually. Then you get a number and go in number order. I forget how it works, oh wait when it is your turn if you can go to the tree for a present or take someones present that already went and then they have to go back to the tree to get another present that they have to keep unless someone takes it. I agree with you man, I'm happy to jump with the lower number people who just are getting their A. Regarding exits, you probably have done a few solos and hopefully have been able to pull of a stable on heading exit more than once. I did a ton of solo exits before I started exits with more than just me. It's just lately that I've started to try many different exit types. It all depends on the plane you jump out of as well. Well if you were at the Thrashers game last night, the Army sponsered a mini parachute drop that was to say the least friggen awesome. They attached t-shirts to the mini parachutes and had people tossing them from up in the rafters of phillips arena. It was the coolest damn thing I've seen in there yet.
