  1. Thanks a whole lot. Sounds like picking a bunch of different artists for the DVD will take some serious work and hassel. I may try to find some local bands for my DVD. Thanks again, http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  2. Anyone know what I need to do to be able to use songs on movies I make without getting sued? I know I need to pay someone, but who, and where do I get info on this? Thanks all. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  3. If you want to see some video from a PC1000 check out my web site. The jumps are listed by date. Look at the most recent, they're the best cuz I finally figured out how to make my video encoder deinterlace the whole clip. These vids are encoded, so they're not as good as they are right off of the camera. No 3 ccd/cmos problems yet. Havn't tried wide screen or cinematic mode yet. Overall I love it. Got a box for it from a skydiver/videographer who makes camera accessories, local at Eloy. http://www.sprinc.org/order.htm It's a hard plastic shell that makes it easy to pop the camera out of it and put it in it's charger. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  4. Come to Eloy and jump with "Team Flail". I'm a "Flailer" and put all of the flail loads I video on my web site. So you can watch yourself online and send the link to your friends. And the desert gets cold at night, so bring warm clothes. Reserve time in the wind tunnel now. It's a great tunnel. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  5. Have you ever been to a bar where they have 10 cent buffalo wings? Don't you think that if that little baby chicken had a job he would've paid at least a quarter to keep his leg or wing? http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  6. I don't know where to start, that's the funniest thing I've heard/read in a long time. You're very funny for a Canadian. Where were the ho teachers when I was twelve, yes they are soft drinks, starbucks sucks balls, ect. ect.. Stop wasting your time amusing us for free and do some standup, most of the comics I see on tv suck. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  7. I cheated, all of mine are just frames from my video, not real stills. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  8. Maybe someday I'll be able to do that, maybe not. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  9. I just posted some videos from the tunnel at Eloy on my web site. I will be posting more soon. No registration required. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  10. I just posted some video of the wind tunnel in Eloy. Check out my web site if you want to see it. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  11. And if you're a stocky meatball like me, for gods sake get a really baggy jumpsuit, or you'll spend alot of your career going low. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  12. You'll probably find it hard to find people to jump with at first. Find other low timers and jump your arse off. Once people see that you're there alot and serious about skydiving they'll give you a chance and jump with you. I believe there's a learning "hump" that you have to get over to become a skilled skydiver, whether you're going to freefly or do rw. The only way to get better is to jump alot. If you're planning on doing 5 jumps a month you'll probably never improve. Try to get at least 200 jumps this first year. You'll overcome any fear you have very quickly, and that's good for safety. I know guys with 1000 jumps who seem like they have 50. I started slow and didn't improve until I started doing 30 jumps a month. If you get 200 jumps this year you'll be pretty skilled, then you can slow down a little bit and retain your skills. I know it's off the subject, but I feel that racking up the jumps in a short amount of time is the only way to get good and really enjoy skydiving. Soon everyone will be trying to get you to jump with them. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  13. First get used to "freeflying your exits", I mean exit unlinked and get used to watching the plane while facing it. Next get used to diving while others are hanging outside of the plane. You really need practice getting to a formation rather than holding on to someone on exit. Once you can do that, now you can worry about exits. Being rear float on an exit is usually the easiest. Front float is usually the hardest. Rear float is when you're outside of the plane toward the back. All you have to do is drop off of the plane. Check my web site to watch some examples of people exiting an Otter. Welcome to the world of skydiving, kiss your money goodbye. Peace. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  14. Skydive Arizona (Eloy), you jump there? I put the first videos I ever shot in the Video By Date section, those ones really suck. Getting better though. Only been shooting video for 2 months. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  15. Yeah, those transition effects are lame, like someone else just said. I always like the videos where it's short clips rather than whole skydives. It seems to keep my interest. Much more work though. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  16. Hey Dave, As you know I have the same helmet. I have a large helmet too, but I have a massive head to fill it nicely. When I tighten it it fits so tight that it's hard to loosen after I land. If you can't get the helmet that tight the helmet must be way too big. Talk to Ash over at Square 2, he helped me alot when I was shopping for a camera helmet. They had a used one over there that was too small for my nogen, maybe it'll fit yours well. I don't know if it was an Optik, or if it's still there, but it's worth a try. And talk to Ash, he's been camera guy for Airspeed, so I'm sure he's pretty knowledgable. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  17. I have a few good shots on the main page of my web site. http://www.SkydiveVids.com These stills are jpegs I exported from the video footage from a PC1000. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  18. That's me. I spend most of my time with Willsey and team flail. Who are you? Many Dave's at the dz. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  19. I've heard Adobe Premiere is great. Not free though. You should be able to download that uncompressed video as a .avi file. I use Windows Movie Maker to export stills from the uncompressed video. They come out ok if it's a good quality digital video camera. I think Windows Movie Maker allows you to put songs to your video too. You can probably find it free at microsoft.com. http://www.skydivevids.com http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  20. And sorry for posting it twice, can't remove the other one. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  21. I've posted my skydive video's online at http://www.skydivevids.com All video I've shot, including the first is posted. Any feedback is welcome. Thanks for checking it out. EM - Team Flail #26 http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  22. I just put up a site with all the video I've shot. Even the first one. So expect amateur video on the early pages. Actually you can expect amateur video on all of the pages, but I'm getting better, I think. If you jump with Team Flail at Skydive Arizona you'll find me, and you'll get a video of yourself on the site. It's free, no registration. Thanks in advance to anyone who checks it out. http://www.skydivevids.com Be sure to check out the crash on the Favorites page. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  23. Here's a good one [url]http://jeremy.zawodny.com/blog/archives/ballsy_halloween_costume.jpg http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  24. I almost pissed my pants at "Superman in a wheelchair". I knew a guy who tied a small mattress to his back and wore a skirt. If a girl asked him what he was he would fall back on the mattress, spread his legs and put them up in the air, and say "I'm you". Many women got angry with him that night. Not a recommended costume. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
  25. I'm not afraid of hell, I live in Phoenix. My kid beat up your honor student. http://www.SkydiveVids.com
