  1. Anybody attending this event planning on bringing a wingsuit? If so, please post or PM me. Thx.
  2. Just wondering if any wingsuiters are planning on attending the 6th Annual St.Patricks Day Celebration Boogie being held at Fitzgerald, Georgia March 19-22.
  3. "Whatever your skill level, we'll have a group / coach that is suitable for you." This is one of the best lines I've seen posted in this forum in a long time-nice to see some rays of reason and intelligence shine through the clouds of bs on occasion-much appreciated.
  4. I'll be there Saturday-job constraints keep me from attending the entire boogie. Hopefully many birds and decent weather to prevail. We had a lot of fun last year!
  5. Whoa Tony! I'm gonna have to think twice about flying with you now. Not because the suit is so bright, which it is, but take a long look at the picture with the back of your rig showing. Tell me that doesn't look like some kind of hoo-doo voo-doo scary face complete with pop top eyes, closing flap nose, and BOC mouth! Looks very foreboding (or maybe I just need to get my meds readjusted). Just kidding, the suit/rig combo looks good. The nice thing here is that there's about zero percent chance that I won't be able to find you in the air.
  6. You are apparently doing all that is right and proper in preparing for your first wingsuit jump. The only advice I can offer is: be prepared to give up many if not all other types of skydiving once you've felt the delight of nylon crack.
  7. Hopefully Rolf will be at Eloy when you're there so you can get your FFC. Rolf is an excellent person, wonderful instructor and an absolute ace flyer. Once you get your wings you will realize that you absolutely HAVE to have a suit. THEN when SkydiveTwinCities opens in May haul your ass down there so we can fly together. We had a few flying together last season but fairly sporadic; I'm always looking for more birds to fly with. Best of luck!

    Finally!

Yes definitely make a FLB flight manual on flat spins. I recently spoke with a very experienced wingsuiter who suggested that one learn how to get into a flatspin specifically to learn how to get out of one because it's gonna happen to most of us someday. Sounds very scary but it also makes quite a bit of sense. BTW-your Video Flight Manuals are excellent.
  9. Me, my motorcycle and S3 will be there on Saturday the 28th after a couple of days spent at Oshkosh along the way from Minneapolis. Very much looking forward to this!
  10. This 'last year's bird' from Skydive TwinCities will be there with 'this year's suit' (S3). Hoping it isn't nearly as hot and muggy as last year.
  11. I saved the file to disk and then associated it with Windows Media Player and it runs perfect. Excellent work Brian, I think the music works really well with the video and stills alike, particularly that last little faux pas of a dive bomb at the end, nice timing.
  12. I did the same with two of the zippers on my old GTi. They worked perfectly everytime. What brand/model/type of zipper did you use and where did you get them? My poor old GTI is in desparate need of some new teeth after the coup detat of superman dive exits and high speed passes from the Skyvan at the Wingsuit Skills Camp recently.
  13. I can't express how excellent this Wingsuit Camp was! Extremely informative, educational, safe, and above all a great time! It's not often that many of us wingsuiters get to fly with a dozen or more birds at a time PLUS get to do numerous wild and crazy exits from a tailgate aircraft. If ever another camp of this ilk happens, I highly, highly recommend taking advantage of it. I learned more than I ever expected. Many thanks to Scott and Ash who tirelessly put in the time to teach some of us fledglings even when the temperature consistently hovered over 100 degrees. Lastly, I just gotta talk about the coolest thing I've ever seen while wingsuiting that happened at this camp. I was about 500 to 700 feet above the flock and slowly dropping down to form up when off to my right Ash comes literally tearing ass out of the sky, unbelievably fast and resembling a stooping falcon. And just when I thought he was going to totally annihilate the entire flock, he just stopped on a dime and gently flew off with the flock. It was extremely impressive and a thing to behold. It was inspiring to fly with such wingsuiting talent as Ash and Scott exhibit.
  14. Can you talk a little bit about the exit? Just curious as to how you did it and what it felt like. The latest Parachutist cover shows regular jumpers coming out in all sorts of contortions.
  15. Look up John Campbell (BMI USA-018). My brother and I took our FFC from him back in February. He's a great guy and excellent instructor. They've got a little Birdman room just outside of manifest. Have fun! Wings are the way to go; flying not dropping.
