  1. Nope! The speed of sound increases as density increases! It's not like light, which travels fastest through a vacuum and slower through, say water or glass. Sound waves need a medium to travel through, which is why they can't travel in a vacuum. Therefore the less material there is, the slower the waves will travel. Remember in space no-one can here you scream! Soooo, it would therefore be perfectly possible to break the sound barrier in freefall!
  2. Hey everyone, I've just bought a PISA Heatwave 150 with about 300 jumps on it.. I was wondering, since PISA aren't around anymore, if any other companies would do the re-line for me in another 200 jumps or so? This is a canopy that ideally I would like to stick with for 400 more jumps at least. Didn't PISA merge with aerodyne? Any chance they could do it for me when I need it because I don't want to fork out for another canopy sooner than I need to! Thanks all. Blue Skies
  3. I've just t back from my first tunnel experience at Airkix and it was awesome!! Got 10 mins with a coach and learnt loads!! About the car parking, I think you only need to pay before 6pm, after that it's free. We got there at about 8 and left at 9.30. Pretty sure the sign said free after 6pm or something. . .
  4. Thanks for this buddy!! I'm sure it will come in helpful!
  5. Number 2 is the best by far!! Its more curvy and just flows! The rest are all too angular!! That's my opinion anyway!
  6. I ate deep fried guinea pig in ecuador once. Didn't taste all that bad but there was not much meat on it! It was funny seeing his litte face on my my plate!! hehehe
  7. I have not yet had a cutaway, but one of my friends had one a while back, which turned out to be one of the most expensive mals I have ever heard of!! He had a suspected baglock and cutaway and his reserve came out fine. Unfortunately, the canopy, still in the bag managed to land in a HUGE field full of rape seed plants at least 6-7ft high! So we spent hours looking for this small black bag in this huge field, with no success! He lost everything apart from his free bag including both handles! His Cypres was in need of servicing and batteries aswell, and now obviously a reserve repack and a whole new main canopy! So he's been working his ass off trying to his kit back up to code with handles etc... or will buy a whole new rig altogether! We learnt a few days ago that his canopy had turned up shredded in the blades of a combine harvester! It was a really nice new sabre aswell!! So the answer to your question is that he had no spares at all and hasn't jumped since! What a bummer!
  8. I have just got back home from spending the last 2 weeks up at the Black Knights Parachute Centre. It was an awesome 2 weeks! Did quite a few jumps and got through a lot of my WARP coaching. The atmosphere here is unlike any other DZ I have been to in the UK. Everyone is so friendly and you will always be able to find someone to jump with! It's always such a good laugh and everyone is always up for a drink in the evening. The only fault i can find is that, living in London, it is a 4 hour drive to get to the DZ. I wish this was my local DZ. Thanks to everyone there and hope to see you all again soon!
  9. I got my new symbiosis jumpsuit through a few days ago
  10. I am a regular jumper at hinton but unfortunately they do not do any offers that i am aware of Last time I was there tickets were just a standard £18 each. I should be going up to Black Knights though soon to take advantage of the £15 tickets on mondays and fridays, or buy 10 get 1 free!
