  1. "She comes in with a forehand slice...."
  2. You're about as much use as a chocolate fire-guard!
  3. They can call you to manifest with whatever they want, but you've still jumped a Beech 99! My list... Beech 99 Turbolet 410 Islander Dornier G92 Turbo Finist (SMEG ?) Twin Squirrel Long Ranger Mi-8 AN2 (yeah baby) Grand Caravan Skyvan Beaver I need to jump one of those lovely balloons that are always taking off from Headcorn. [edit for spelling]
  4. Isn't that Jan's Beech 99 in your photo slideshow?
  5. Perhaps the side door has been used, but would this baby open in flight? Andover
  6. I heard a rumour that Dave the Dolphin scarpered just before the quake shouting, "So long and thanks for all the fish". Or did I just dream that. (Apologies to Douglas Adams)
  7. At the centre of the universe , well..., very near the epicentre of this earthquake anyway, in Folkestone. Couldn't have stayed in bed if I'd wanted to - too many house alarms shrieking merrily away.
  8. Glad you escaped without any more damage than that. It could've been expensive. Could have been expensive AND embarrassing. Thank goodness I remembered to throw some shorts on before going outside - I don't wear any jim-jams!
  9. It lasted about 6 seconds. Just enough time for my kids to jump a few feet into the air with fear - we're just not used to such things here in the garden of England! Everyone in my street rushed outside in their jim-jams, looking at their houses to see what had just crashed into it, or what had just fallen off. I've heard hundreds of sonic booms in my time, I've even felt a number of earthquakes. This sounded and felt like something more sinister because of the shock-wave that shook the windows and knocked stuff off shelves. But what do I know - isn't nature wonderful! The only structural damage I can see is a nice new crack in my garden (brick) wall. Lots of roof damage near by though. Lucky me.
  10. I didn't see any tits. Just an AN-2 and a nice Beaver.
  11. My reservations had nothing to do with his hair colour. They were more to do with other things I'd seen him in before. And anyway, we (men) all think of ourselves as secret agent Bond-type characters, and I'm talk dark and handsome!!
  12. Saw it last night. Absolutely the dog's. Ian Fleming will probably rest more peacefully now that a Bond film has been made that more closely follows the style of his novels. Definitely a thriller. I wasn't sure about Daniel Craig as Bond either, but am now a complete convert! Agree about the below average theme tune. It's classified as a 12A here in the UK. I don't think I'll take my 9-year old son just yet because the violence is less sanitised than some of the previous movies.
  13. I saw Bowie at the Deutchland Halle in Berlin in 1976/1977 (?). A great concert playing mostly stuff from Station to Station. I always wanted to see him as Ziggy but just missed out .
