  1. and Cutaway, didn't you know that skydiving is all about 8 way speedstar hehe...
  2. yeh i know but i'm heading up the east coast and it's going to be much better than here, so all is good
  3. actually the high pull wasn't too cold, i couldn't feel my hands for quite some time afterwards, but it's all good fun... and yeh the water at glenorchy is somewhat cold, but when you spend winter in new zealand out of choice you can't really complain, oh well i'm heading over to oz next week
  4. i thought i'd post an annoying "look at me skydiving" post... i finally did my 300th jump, which happened to be on load 13 on the 6/6/06, lucky i'm not superstitious me and my buddy helen did a really cool high pull at Pudding Hill in New Zealand, at sunset over the snow topped mountains, all highly cool... i've attached some pics from my 300th and some random pics from glenorchy, near queenstown... anyway that's all really... Jill x
  5. glad to hear you had a good time Diana. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that this is a real post, there are even pics of her on the freefalladdicts website (unless they paid her to fly over to spain and pose for some photos, which is obviously a viable option for the sake of a dz.com post ) i don't see what everyones problem is, they've done a good job, the students happy, all is good! i did my AFF with the staff from Freefall Addicts and i have nothing but praise for them... they've helped me out loads over the last 18 months since i started jumping... it looks like they've got a good thing going on down in Seville, give them a break and let them get on with it!
  6. I live in England so who has to wait... I'm sure I can stick out 5 days in LA before moving onto countries with less absurd drinking laws hehe heheheh, i know you're in England, i was just ribbing our friends with the retarded drinking laws yeh i guess my name kind of gives it away..
  7. I live in England so who has to wait... I'm sure I can stick out 5 days in LA before moving onto countries with less absurd drinking laws hehe
  8. Unfortunately I'm not old enough to buy alcohol in California (I'm 19)... So by that logic does that mean that I can do as many firsts as i want when I'm in Perris this week and not buy beer? surely you guys wouldn't want me to break the law
  9. who told you that?! There is no Christian teaching that says that people who aren't Christian are evil! that doesn't even make any sense... for satan to exist, there has to be a God. By definition an athiest doesn't believe in a God, so how could Christians think that athiests believe in satan?! I'm aware that you're probably just stirring, but at least try and make sense!
  10. I really don't understand how people can deny the existence of God, there has to be a higher being for the universe to exist... the fact that you live in such beautiful surroundings helps to prove that there is a God, something that amazing cannot be made by chance... that is completely stereotypical, there are over 2 billion Christians in the world and yeh some may be like that but if they follow the teachings of the bible then it won't be the case... again thats pretty stereotypical, the bible teaches that you should love your neighbour before yourself and the whole basis of Christianity is that we're all sinners but if you turn to Jesus then you have a way out... so yeh Christians are going to 'judge others' to the extent that they'll want them to find the same freedom that they have... there are endless references in the bible to how you shouldn't judge others and be hypocritical, so again if people are following the Christian teachings then that shouldn't be the case... what a stupid thing to say, unless you have any basis for that comment then what's the point of saying it... that's where you're wrong, and you'll find out eventually... I think it's fairly obvious by your incoherent rambling that you're searching for something, maybe you should open your your eyes and see what you're missing out on... You seem to be the one that is juding others... you may have had some bad experiences with Christians, but we're not all the same...
  11. I'm glad you feel my pain hehe... I cleverly decided that i was going to *practise packing* before going to Perris next week, as a result my canopy is randomly open and i really don't want to try and pack it again... hmmm... but i guess it serves me right for getting a new 190 and trying to stuff it in a bag smaller than the average 150 hehe
  12. i saved up to do AFF doing a crappy part time job while i was at school... if you're serious about getting into the sport then you can, it's just a matter of using your money well and making some sacrifices, in my opinion it's well worth it...
  13. I do... well techinically i did, i'm going travelling in a couple of weeks, so i won't be around until next summer...
  14. excellent, i'll look forward to it
  15. I'm gonna be in LA 1-5th November, i decided that i couldn't really be bothered to do the touristy thing so i'm just gonna hang out at Perris the whole time i'm there
  16. Does it support podcasting? To me that is way more important than supporting WMA. Out of all my audio files (too many Gig) I have exactly one WMA file. I have far more acc files, but mostly MP3s. But podcasts kick ass. Apparently so, but i haven't tried yet
  17. I have a rio carbon too, i've only had it for a couple of weeks, but it seems pretty good... it cost me £100, 5gb, 20hrs battery life, easy to use, pretty small, drag and drop, plays MP3 and WMA... http://www.digitalnetworksna.com/shop/_templates/item_main_Rio.asp?model=267 IMO much better value than an IPod...
  18. unicycles rock, i got a cheap one on ebay a while back... it's caused me a lot of pain and i'm still crap at it, but the principle is cool
  19. I'm glad i'm not the only one that thinks it's a good idea to go backpacking with a rig hehe... I'm going travelling around US/Australasia/Asia for a year... It would be ridiculous not to take my rig but I'm not quite sure about the logistics of it all yet... (rig- 190 sq ft main, 2 jumpsuits, log books, helmet etc. etc. is gonna take up a lot of room!)
  20. i spent the day at the DZ watching the black clouds and windsock, all good fun...
  21. Hi, http://www.dropzone.com/gear/Detailed/420.html
  22. and heres my wings.... http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=search_results&search_forum=all&search_string=tie%20dye&sb=score&mh=25
  23. I learnt to skydive with freefall uni and I had an amazing time... i have nothing but praise for the instructors i jumped with out there... obviously the weather tends to be a lot better, which means you can jump basically when you want to opposed to spending most of your time on the ground staring at clouds/windsocks... it also seems much easier to justify spending loads of money when you're on holiday and in another country if you look on the site there are loads of references from students, so they must be doing something right! if you would like any more info then PM me...
