Whats a matter Tom Aiello? cant even post a simple guess in the sake of fun? I noticed that you didnt even show your face or any help in Miles' world record... you tout yourself as being an involved leader type but you didnt even participate in Twin Falls' most notable base jumping session in history, not a pack job or a hike out or an interview.

Miles did flips every single jump for 57 jumps... mostly doubles, a few singles and a ton of triples... almost entirely slider down. his rotations completed would have been way more than 100... there was a guy recording all that info on all the jumps... can we get this info posted? Tal? Clif? I'd like to read all the stats on Gary and Miles world record sessions. the details were recorded of all of miles' jumps and even openings and there was only one jump where he earned himself a couple line twists after a triple gainer, other than that he just threw out on headers all day. that one guy is totally right...nobody can Wooooo hooo like miles Daisher. nobody can jump off of my bridge 57 times in a row doing slider down technical arials the whole time... he was doing Kiss Ass Blasters (twisting triple) after like 45 jumps. that is just unmatchable. I am guessing that in 120 jumps this Gary guy is gonna have some pretty interesting stats as well. any charities involved with this one?

packing posts...whats wrong with them? why am I an ex ski baser?

The second jumper had a 90 degree off-heading, and as he struggled to turn his canopy, he was blown between the guy wires of the tower. what do you mean? dont we always jump between the wires on antennas? did the guy go through the wires and into the other side or not? if so, did he land over there or did he come back through again and land in the same side as he had jumped from? THere was even another jumper the same week that actually had a wire strike that may have been as a result of these unusual wind conditions. a mistake may have been made in which side to jump, but as a forgiving object will tend to, it forgave. it could have been an honest mistake, the winds may have been different at exit alt. than opening alt. misleading the beginner jumpers Here are the facts: two beginner jumpers were jumping a beginner object at night. the winds may have been an issue, but both managed to land safely. no harm no foul.

but, 10 minutes? really, only ten from un packed in a stuff sack to packed and PC stowed?

$20 gets your rig packed where I come from. 200 Kroner will get you one in Norway thats about $30 both are perfect ram air oriented pack jobs that rarely take much less than 30 min... but who is counting I have never seen a 10 minute base pack job that isn´t foolishly rushed I have paid for about 25 base pack jobs, I have been paid to pack before too. In general paying others to pack you up is rare, but jumping other peoples pack jobs is common among people who know what they are doing even at $20 per pack job, you would not bother to pay that to someone that you do not trust skydiving is great, I mean how can you pass on a $5 pack job? that just seems like a steal to me. jt

Hey Jaap the general style in ski base these days is to ski off of a cliff that is at least around 200 feet tall and either open yer chute imediately, or do a flip or two and then toss yer chute. we have been waiting for a snowboarder(s) to come and play with us and have fun off of our local 350 footer, but no one ever shows up. that is where CLIFHUCKSTABLE has been doing quad flips and kiss ass blasters (twisting triples) seems to me that the snowboard would be just as fun and safe, but I do not know how to hit jumps on a board very consistently at all yet. why not just go for it our style? this will save the pain in the ass and the money to get a new binding set up, one that you will be lucky to ever retrieve after you go ski off of a huge cliff, and let yer whole set up fall to impact. if you are worried about it, just put a big PC in yer hand and go fast and throw quick and with all that forward speed yer canopy is gonna open so fast that it will be hard for you to manage to get your feet and board tangled up in it. skiers do it mono boarders have done it when are some of you snowboarders gonna give it a go? ....were waiting... edit for site name ~TA

The tard stands for totally awesome rapid deployment, but at the same time it also has the connotation of being ya know retarded and nota smart or calculated way to jump. you are doing very meticulously prepared manual deployments... not tards. tards have to be more careless young man and much less prep. You might as wellpack. here is the deal with the tard: stow and go s fold the lines (2 or 3 or 4 or 5 grabs each at least a couple feet long) into one of yer hands and throw the wholoe deal above yer head as you step off. as for McConkeys: stow and go dangle and dive. McConkeys retardeds: stow and go S fold dive over and leggo NO FLAKING ALLOWED thats about it. and oh yeah... dont forget rule #1

The best most dialed in helmet camera set up that I have ever seen is being put out by a company called Go Big innovations. I use one and I am very pleased. THey will be selling cams on their sight shortly, but not til the fall. I think you can still buy em though. You can check them at www.igobig.com or email them at [email protected] They rock the lipstick cam, but they have eliminated the excess wires and made use very easy when in conjunction with a small backpack worn on the chest (easy to find)... you can see the helmet cams at www.igobig.com their prices are good. Remember, if you are gonna choose lipstick cam over direct mount, the quality is only as good as the lipstick lens, so you might as well choose a cheap video cam because it is really just yer recording unit.

has anyone else had mostly good results with Flik except for just once or twice? I jump Fox & Flik, and cant tell much difference. I think i like vents but I am not sure. I land softer under my Fox. It is hard to tell the difference between vented and non-vented canopy openings accept that you gotta slow the vents down terminal. I can't decide which to get for my next canopy and I need suggestions from heavy users. I got a heinous opening with my Flik once... a corked surging line twist 180 on a normal slider up cliff deployment. That is the reason I dont try another Flik immediately. has anyone had any strange openings with the Flik? We parachute geeks are just thinking too much and just need to jump any seven cell base tested parachute. It has got to be just luck of the draw and skill. I think lots of jumpers graduate from Fox to Flik or Mojo to Ace and think the new parachute is better but really they just have learned to base jump better and flare better and their parachute is new instead of old and flies true and their body position is better so openings are more on heading sORRY FOR WRITING A nOVEL JT
